Oiling/fretting rosewood

I know how to oil a fretboard, but one without frets?? Do I install frets first or oil first???

What would you recommend???
Also, will I need to get the correct depth in the slots or are they at the correct depth??? If not, what will they need to be? You also said they were gibson frets... will I need to level the fretboard??
