Was messing around last night with the 2 ch Recto and Uber models in Thermionik and decided to make a quick clip. How does this sound? Are the guitars too dark?

Dude ain't nothing wrong with that at all. Would be interested to hear them a little brighter but this had me headbanging inside of 3 seconds as it was.

Thanks for the listen Stein. I'm gonna tweak a bit and post a slightly different version tomorrow. I noticed the bass was a bit too loud in my car, which I didn't hear through my monitors and headphones.

Sounds good. I'd try a little brighter but not much.

EDIT: mind busting out how you mixed this? This is a seriously great tone for as low as it is...

Quad tracked guitars(1 track of Recto and Uber per side) The Uber is slightly dominant in the mix, but not by much, maybe 1 or 2db at most.

Output Volume -10 (I find Thermionik tends to clip the bus if the levels aren't brought down. I always cut volume in Recabinet, its just easier to always do it in one spot across as presets)

I bussed the Recto tracks together and then added some minor multiband compression and a Slate VTC New York( Console, Normal, Gain 1.0, Mix 100%)

Bussed the Uber tracks together again with minor multiband, no other processing.

Forgot to mention. Guitar is cheapo Jackson import with an EMG81 in the bridge. Drop C tuning
