That explains that now what about the rest of their recordings ? Bass has always been low from Kill'em on up

Fwiw, I love the drum sounds on Justice. It's by far Lars' best drumming and while it'd be cool hear a more proper mix, I still like it for what it is.

If you listen to Garage Days dime right before this, Jason's bass is louder than Cliff's ever was. But the guitars sounded extremely dry and kinda weird. Justice has basically that same guitar sound, but the guitars, while kinda weird, sound great too, imo. Totally outside the box tone, but I love it for that

Indeed. Beides the no-bass on AJFA, I liked that & Garage days production pretty much the best. :beavis:

for me Kill'em is it , it was a slow slip into suckville after Ride and it sped up as it went along . I'm not sure there are even any memorable tunes on the later stuff . I don't remember .

That's just Cliff. His bass tones were pretty damn similar to guitar tones.
