Fourth is the best film out of the four, but the book the first movie is based on >>> any of the movies, and was decidedly not "quartet of sequels" material.

I thought the 4th was absolutely terrible.
Rambo 1 and 2 are all I care for.

Rambo IV, simply because of how much hamburger got thrown at the camera.

Yeah I was incredibly surprised by IV. I rented it expecting it to be kinda lame.....but it was super fucking br00tz. Loved it

i went with the first one because of the cliff jump, the half a boar, and david caruso death.
2 and 3 are enjoyable cheese fests.
4 is awesome though. stalone goes insane!

My major qualm with the Rambo franchise is the naming conventions.
First Blood. OK
Rambo: First Blood Part II. OK
Rambo III. Technically should have been Rambo II: First Blood Part III
Rambo IV. Technically should have been Rambo III: First Blood Part IV

Not sure what that is? If someone else made that same observation then it's a coincidence because I first came up with it when I was drunk in college in '97.
