I've banged on about this guy before. It's heavy synth music, inspired by John Carpenter and the horror/cult movies of that era. He's by far the best the genre has to offer in terms of how much depth and intelligence there is in the composition and he knows how to deliver it. For a long time his fans were asking him to play live shows and he declined, even though he'd make a fuckton of money, as he didn't want to charge just to be some guy stood on a stage with a mac book pro. He instead hatched a plan of how to make it a proper live experience and set about reworking the songs so they could be played live with a guitarist and a drummer, while he does as much as is feasibly possible on keys while live mixing it. He did not disappoint. There is also a kick ass cult-esque/B movie video projected onto the stage and over the band when they play live which really adds a lot to the love show. The drummer uses a full acoustic kit with triggers for a mix of the two sounds. I saw them live back in January and the drumming was insanely tight to the point where you might think that it's all bullshit and it's just midi The guitarist rips like a motherfucker on the some parts, I don't know how much of that is in this recording as I've only got a few tracks in but he certainly brought it when I saw them. I've never felt a room move with the volume and bass the way it did when I saw these dudes. Anyway, check em out.
