I would plug straight into DAW , track w/ headphones and check playback for said C&W

Mams, you are about as useless as a fuckin' white crayon.
I remember reading an article about Eric Valentine (recording engineer). He ended up building a Faraday cage to record high gain single coil guitars without hum!
