I mean, I like them, but damn...Ian's voice bites hard. His vocal ambitions were low. My resentment just rides high. I have mixed emotions that won't grow. They probably considered changing their ways or taking different roads, but his voice. it just tears me apart...again.

Over the last couple of decades, they've remastered everything to correct the pitch of his voice, but if you hear the actual old stuff, yikes. Dude just flat out couldn't sing.

I love the Peter Hook bass lines though. I just found out when they started, his amp was so shitty, he couldn't play the low string. That's why the bass is high, melodic, and sits in the mix in a cool way.

The robotic sounding drums are awesome too. The timing was definitely not flawed

The guitar, I could go either way. The respect has run dry, yet there's still this appeal that I've kept in my life. Love. Love will tear us apart....again.

Do they make you cry out in your sleep? Maybe, it's just my failings exposed. I need to start a band. I know I can sing better than this. I get a taste in my mouth, and desperation takes hold. Is it something so good? I can't function any more. When love.. love will tear us apart again..

Is there a song interwoven in the OP or is it just me?

I largely missed out on them in real life, but we play with several JD / New Order tributes, so I am sorta going back and learning their catalog. I dig it.
