A few times. Watched the documentary on them, interesting for sure. White people steal everything. Blues, rock and roll, jazz, and now punk.

I feel like they lead directly into Bad Brains. Maybe I am wrong.

Just like The Stooges and MC5 led right to them.
In fact, the MC5 influence in their music is beyond obvious. Really, these guys are contemporaries of The Sonic Rendezvous Band.

Nah. MC5 and Stooges, as Pablo alluded to, were earlier. And if you want to count The Sonics as punk, they were way earlier.
