Garbage

I used to LOVE Garbage.
but.....
Shirley Manson adopted an ugly, butch look, and now they're not good.
sexual red hair = gone
slutty makeup = gone
short dresses = gone
upskirt shots = gone
grungy, relevant music = gone
cohesive music with a purpose = gone
I'm starting to think they stopped caring halfway through the 3rd album.

Can't remember what it was...movie soundtrack or roadtrip we were on last weekend? There was a Garbage song playing during whatever and it was droney and just yuck. I liked a few tunes off their debut back in the day iirc.

i never liked garbage and always thought it was an appropriate name. also Shirley Manson was never in the slightest bit hot.

Yes, it's the statement I'm most willing to stand by.
I don't get it. I think to think she's hot you have to live in a place where there is a shortage of hot women, or be old, or have reached a place in life where you've given up on the concept of testosterone that even your celebrity fantasy women are starting to look tired.

I'm a child of the 90's through and through. Born in 83. I have slightly older tastes in general.
She was not hot. The only thing that made her remotely attractive was a pound of makeup, small clothes, and professional lighting.
What was hot was a myth. It didn't exist. Live interviews with her made it clear. 1) she had awful skin in the 90's and 2) just No.

See you're so far off the rails I don't even know how to help you. No one with functioning testosterone cares if she has great skin or if she's annoying in interviews. That's only something millennials care about because they've been psychologically neutered through perfectionism.

Perfectionism? You realize that the pound of makeup and lighting they use to make her look somewhat pretty is more a product of perfectionism than anything right?
Look, I kinda get it. She has that trashy sluty gothy vibe and her voice is a little sexy (I'll give her that) so on high gloss and well cropped paper she fulfills the requirements that a healthy set of balls would require. However, it only takes a moment or two of intentional observation to see that this perceived "hotness" is an illusion.
Gene is complaining that she used to be hot and now she has this butch thing and lost her sexy. No, that's not what happened. She took off her makeup and moved the hair out of her face and now you can see her for what she really is. Ugs. Always had been tho....

Also i never said anything about her being annoying in interviews. It's on a live camera that you can see more clearly that she ain't got it, yo. That's why I mentioned it.

Ok agreed too much makeup is a boner-killer, but you have to power through that kind of thing. Maybe her mom just never showed her how to apply makeup right, or she's just bad at it. Hardly a reason for no.
Besides, her whole shtick was turning being kind of gross into some kind of asset.
