Man, Waves is a pain in the d*ck

I grabbed one of their offerings for free on a Black Friday thing. Finally get around to DLing it and it seriously took almost half an hour for their proprietary thing to run/activate plugins. Jesus.
Good thing, is that the SuperTap delay sounds awesome and I'm glad I snagged it. Usually $50 or so, tap tempos, bunch of stuff.
Carry on and junk.

I downloaded it as well.
I bought two other Waves products prior (Graphic EQ and Vocal Rider). So, I already had theei download tool installed.
I'm guessing the tool prevents unauthorized sharing?

I agree with the subject.
I bought one of their plugs on sale and spent I can't even remember how long futzing with it to get it to actually work correctly. Then promptly stopped using it.

100% agree. I remember I got some new plugin of theirs and promptly every other plugin stopped working. I had to redownload and install everything, took me hours.

The thing that gets me is the actual downloading of the plugin itself - you get this optimistic message "Downloading with 25 processes in parallel" which means fuck all because the progress bar immediately grinds to a halt for 20 minutes.
Apart from that, I think the authorization part of it isn't too bad and I've not had any trouble there.

Are you guys using Windows 98?
I had no issues on my Mac Mountain Lion 10.8
Get on the Apple bros and be happy!

I'm on the apple. Mac for recording since 2007. Latest is a 2015 model. Waves still made me wanna choke a bitch Jack Bauer style when I attempted to install something.

I guess, I'm not bitching about Waves because, my work computer is XP and it makes my Mac seem lightning fast.

There is that. Man do I hate working on Windows now. Stuck with it at work, but refuse to use it at home these days.

Speaking of Windows 98, why are you still on 10.8? That's ancient, by today's standards.
