Greetings from Ireland.
My son has is now playing the guitar on my 40+ year old HH 100w combo. My background is in TV / video repairs and have now found myself dragged into the worls of amp repairs and effects pedal building.
Your never too old.

Welcome! Not sure if we have anyone from the Emerald Isle here prior to you. Don't think so. I'm looking forward to your contributions!
Also, how much does Ireland really love Connor McGreggor?

HH or H||H were a great little amplifier manufactured in the UK in the 70's and possible before that time. Mine was model VS212 which was 100w 2 speaker combo. Very crisp sound indeed. They build all sorts including PA amps etc.

No one would say that they don't like him, just in case they bump into him leaving a bar some night

I started to really like him after the Aldo fight. I thought he handled the first Diaz loss like a real champ, and the adjustments he made for the second one started to convince me that he actually is the real deal even though it was super close. With this last TKO over Alvarez who has never gotten his ass handily whooped put me right on that bandwagon. The guy is nothing short of phenomenal.

My 1st amp was a HH ic100, (even older than the vs series), my sister had a HH bass amp, and we also had a HH PA sytem (pretty much standard gear in the pubs/clubs in 70's). I recently saw some old footage of Stuart Adamson from skids/big country using an ic100.

Welcome Philly!
I agree on McGregor, handled the loss to Diaz with class & figured a way to beat the naturally bigger man the 2nd time, very impressive. Alvarez is a tough cat, he just couldn't handle the heavy hands of Conor. I think Alvarez underestimated Conor's power thinking he just had power to knock out the smaller guys and it wouldn't carry over to the higher weight classes.
BTW, my family originated from Westmeath. Trying to get a visit in this summer, hopefully.
Slainte, Pete
