Favorite Pop-Scientists?

:nerd:
I spend a TON of my time reading, listening to, and watching tons on quantum physics, astronomy, neurology, philosophy, and so on.
Over that time I've come to really like a few specific people I've found.

Some of personal favorites:
Michio Kaku
Brian Greene
Neil deGrasse Tyson
Sam Harris
Alan Watts
Carl Sagan (what would list like this be without him?)

These are all people whose various blips in media, pop culture, or Youtube vids/sound clips have been pretty inspirational to me personally.

I'm sure I'm not the only one interested in this, who are some of your favorites guys?
Bonus points for links.

Everyone you said and, even though he is kind of annoying, Brian Cox has some great informative shows on the Science Channel.

My Dad was a physicist for Kodak and my Brother is a physicist for a defense corporation and used to work for Nasa. I'm a Motion Graphics/3D designer :nerd:

Anyway, I always had a big interest in Physics, but at a purely layman level.

Yeah Cox has some cool stuff.
I definitely don't pretend to have more than a basic grasp of any of the things they talk about but I really enjoy this stuff and have since HS.

Neil deGrasse Tyson

Mostly because you expect him to start jamming some smooth R&B jams at any second and spanking some ass.

I love Bill Nye's Big Think stuff.
Actually I love pretty much all of Big Think's stuff.
I subscribe to that channel and have watched literally every vid at least once.

I totally grew up in the era where Mr Wizard's World was sort of ending and Bill Nye and Beakman (spelling?) became huge.
Anyway they definitely had a BIG impact on me growing up and its funny my love for Bill has continued into adulthood.

If you guys haven't watch those 45+ minute episodes on Big Think. They're great.

I generally felt like most of these are preaching to their own choir while being a bit too confrontational to actually convince anyone else that they're right. That said, Bill Nye is awesome.
