Has anyone ever used one of these crowning tools?

I've got a couple of Charvels with a rising tongue (upper frets) and was thinking about fixing it myself. The leveling would be easy but the crowning would be a lot harder to do. I'm wondering how similar the crown shape would be to the original Charvels and also what size I would need (medium or wide).

Trying to find out what size frets they use. Not sure but it could be 6100. Does anyone know what size they use?

Man - you're a lot braver than I am - you're going to 'try' this out on a good guitar neck?

I do have an old Warmoth Charvel style neck I can practice on. It would be great if I could start doing this myself.

I agree, but when I begin doing this kind of work, I'm starting out on my super-cheap Squier neck :thu:

I sent an email to Stewmac asking what size file for 6100 frets and they suggested the wide file. We'll see how it goes.
