I just picked up the Metal Machinery SDX and I'm loving it so far, but I'm feeling like I might want to look into the Progressive Foundry too. Anyone try it yet?

This is the most excited I've been about an SDX. Definitely planning on getting it. I'm really glad that there seem to be a lot of snare drums with a decent ring to them. It annoys me that so many SD and Slate kits have really dampened snare drums. Gotta have some ring to sound big in a dense mix, and reverb ain't the same.

Got it last week. Haven't installed it. Will soon.

Mark, I find that I can get a bit more sustain out of a snare by compressing the hell out of the room mics, but you're right. It just isn't the same.
Loop, when you get a chance to mess around with it, please let me know what you think. We have pretty similar tastes in music and production.
