Is there a combo that comes close to the sound of my JCM800?

I had such a crap gig last night. Used my 15 watt tweaker for the first time in a while and I REALLY hated my tone. I also hate dragging my Marshall head and 2x12 cab around. I'm lazy. Suggestions? And yes, I am willing to accept that I just had a shit night. :p

Jcm800 combo?

They make a 50 watt 1x12.

What was wrong with the tone? I've been thinking about another tweaker.

I dunno man, My JCM cleans up great, and to me it sounds like wood, glass and steel, which is what I want my guitar to sound like. The tweaker is a REALLY good amp, but for some reason it just sounded like one big fart to me last night. Meh, probably just a bad night.

As for the 800 combo, yeah, I know but I was looking for something that won't break the bank, is easily available and perhaps I could trade my tweaker for... (I'm acting lke I have money... lol!).

Ok, I can expand now that I put my fiddle down.

I have a JCM800 2204. I just got a DSL40C a couple days ago from LoopWater. My JCM will be collecting dust for quite a while. The DSL is just killing it for me. I am running the green channel set clean and slamming it with pedal. It's pure sonic orgasm. It's got a half power switch(20Watts) and a bypassable loop. The reverb is ok. Comparable to Boogie reverb where you hardly notice it. But it does it's job. I prefer my chorus for more ambient, roomy sounds.

If you have a Loopwater card, they are financing them for 18 months. I couldn't resist.

Beware, it is a heavy pig.

Fuck it, Omma carpet bomb this place with this pic.......

Wow, everyone is over here now, even Mods

But seriously, it's too big a hassle to carry a Marshall Head and a 2x12 cab? :geek:

+1 on the DSL 40c (or even the 15c if you need a really small amp). They sound great and can get very close to a JCM800 tone on the clean channel with a boost.

It isn't even that as much as I have a Toyota yaris, and last night in addition to my rig I had to haul as much of the PA that would fit in my car. So it's kind of a real estate situation as well. It isn't that heavy or anything. :)
