I have been going through it and cleaning it up as much as I can. Pretty much the only things that are original are the neck-through body, tuners, and single coils. The Yamaha bridge was taken out and replaced with an inexpensive licensed floyd. They did a decent job but I might upgrade it at some point.
The original humbucker was replaced and the wiring was a 5-way switch and 3 on/off mini toggles. This struck me as interesting but not optimal. I am pretty handy with a soldering iron so got to work.
First, I scored a Dimarzio Fred from Mike LXR (thanks). I then completely gutted the pots, wires, switches, and output jack. I replaced everything and the wired the mini toggles:

1. Humbucker parallel/coil tap/series
2. Middle single coil phase/reverse phase
3. Overall kills switch
This is an old pic but the rusty screws have been replace, too.
Man! I cannot believe how flexible this setup is! Loving it.
