I know that most people aren't interested, and a lot of people will come in with some sort of comment about their later/latest stuff. But for those that are interested the chili peppers are hitting the studio again in a few months time.

Now they've been touring for a while with Klinghoffer, hopefully the new album with be interesting

I hate very few bands. RHCP is one of those bands.

I had Chili Peppers SHOVED DOWN MY THROAT by the people I worked with as a teen/twenty something because, "you're into that heavy stuff." And I always asked, "what does that have to do withe the Chili Peppers?" Just because Beavis liked Flea doesn't mean I had to like the band.

They should probably team up with Ozzy and write a song about a crazy train in California though. Gauranteed crossover hit.

I can understand why that would put you off, but there is far more material NOT about California. The irony being 'Monarchy of roses' was originally called 'Disco Sabbath', but that doesn't help matters :cop:

I'll check it out. Not the worlds biggest RHCP fan, but they always seem to have at least a song or two on each album that I really enjoy.

Frusciante had me at, that he could see ghosts.

Stadium Arcadium is one of the best albums ever. Come at me bros

Will be checking this one out, although the last album was really boring.

Goodbye Hooray is a cool song; epic bass solo, and the guitaring isn't too bad. To be fair, first album with a new guitarist is never going to be very popular. If you are going to judge Klinghoffer at least wait until the new album. Although if you are already coming in with the mindset against the Chili's then you aren't exactly going to be open minded about it :cop:

I'm not judging the new guitarist at all. I didn't even mention him. But it was still a boring album.

I'm open minded about RHCP...I mean, I just said that I love Stadium Arcadium. That's enough to make me not a true fan. :cop:

Haha I meant generally, not in answer to your post. I would have quoted it :cop:

Live long and procreate.

None of the recent stuff grabbed me. The guitar parts made me think he came in, heard the songs, and just put down the first ideas that came to his head, but didn't do the whole, 'listen back and make sure it sounds good' bit. Some interesting tones and playing, but didn't feel like it was pulling its weight in the song.

Now, By the Way... there is a fucking ALBUM.

Uplift Mofo Party Plan was their pinnacle achievement.

That was 25 years ago.
