Been thinking about getting an old tube caddy off of ebay but would prefer something newer. So what do ya'll say? takle box? I thought valve queen sold something similar at one time.

Mine are zip lock bagged in small/medium cardboard shipping boxes.

In my amps.

I really need to get some spares.

Would something like a cheapy pistol case work? I bet it would.

Currently they're holding warhammer minis I need to sell, but I have 4 pistol cases and no pistols.

Now that I think of it - it could have been the "tube cube" I saw. For the money I would think a pistol case would be cheaper.

Random little cardboard boxes, strewn with no regard for organisation or tidiness all over our band lockup.

I got to invent some kind of other needless product, like these specialized tube cases, so I can get rich from all you OCD guitarists with too much time and money to spend on the internet

fucking ziplock bag them, or shoe box them, or whatever dude!

In the fucking boxes they came in. The only thing I did was label the boxes so I know which tube was for which amp/slot.

This is when dan starts getting wierd.

Wrapped in lettuce and stored in the crisper.

Don't have any tubes anymore, but I used to just keep them in their boxes and all in some other box. If I was having to transport them around on a tour or something, yeah I might consider a case type thing. But for just keeping 'em at home? A box worked perfectly fine for me. If I was more anal about it I might have just fashioned a more ordered storage box out of a box and some spare bits of cardboard to make inserts or something... but for whatever reason, I was never all that picky about storing my tubes.

Pretty simple:

Good Tubes in amp.

Bad tubes in trash.

Something to remember about tubes is that they share a property with water; they are essentially incompressible. So they can't be stored in a container that's smaller than they are.
