I want this pedal looper to control the amp channels and reverb, too.
http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_fxl8.htmWould it be possible to mod it ? If it's too complicated and/or expensive I'd better buy this:

That looks like a great looper! However, I don't about modding it to switch channels or reverb on/off. The company Harley Benton either bought or is licensed to put their name on Joyo products. Joyo makes another version, the PXL-Pro which allows channel changing. It has 4 different triggers, so I can assume that it can be setup for turning off/on reverb too.
As far as the Octa-Switch is concerned, I have experience with it [well at least the MkI version] and it is simply amazing! The downside to it is that you have 8 presets, whereas the Joyo/Harley Benton give you 32 presets. I can say that I LOVE my Octa-Switch, but having the convenience of more presets would be nice. As far as build quality and function for the Octa-Switch, it is outstanding. The presets switch fast and the unit is a tank! I like the built in buffer, but I have found that when it is on [with my pedals] I get a popping noise when I switch presets; with it off, there is no noise!
I can't comment on the quality of the Joyo/Harley Benton product, but the Octa-Switch is an amazing product! I have been contemplating selling my Octa-Switch MkI to get the newer version, but I think I might look into the Joyo PXL-Pro before I make the plunge.
Good luck!
