has anyone tried it yet?
I'm not sure if it can sound good enough for practice. after all the speaker in the cab is only 8". but it could save me a lot of space.
is it worth trying?

I have one. I haven't tried it with other cabs, but i think with a 12 inch speaker you would get better bass response. It takes pedals ok but it's no blackface fender. I use it as a practice amp and it sounds great for that. It's sound really good boosted when set dirty. Has an ok clean sound. You need to boost it to do metal. I use a maxon od808 for that.

I have the head. I mainly use it like a pedal in front of other amps. Haven't used it with the cabs they make for Them. Just full size 4 x12s. I like it

Yes. I had one for a while and I found it was more a novelty than anything else. It has a cool clean and dirty sound and CAN drive a 4x12, but it really does NOT take pedals well at all. It'd be great for recording, but I wouldn't use it for band rehearsals.

I like my head quite a lot but i dont have the cab. My head will do Sabbath levels of gain easily but it appears to be unique in that regard, it also wont run at 4 ohms very loud without cutting out(apparently Orange knows this issue).

I have a Marshall Bass 12 (like a lead 12..just the bass version) that I need to find a speaker for. I need to re-build it so I can use my Micro Terror with it. (plug into the micro terror, then jump out of the HP jack into an EQ, then into the front of the Bass 12. That will be a great little practice set up.
