They seem to be an improvement over the original Legend series pedals with more tone shaping options similar to the amps they are modeled after. Here's the link with the info on the new line of pedals. :thu:

Found these demos of the Drive series:

Sounds more like a Marshall to me. :idk: It doesn't have that VHT hollowness.

Pretty heavy tone with single coils though.

Since the Laney has a working FX loop, Im lloking forward to trying some of the AMT Pre Amp Offerings. Really interested in the Engl, and Orange based models. Perhaps the Bogner based model as well.

I have the Marshall flavor covered, as well as the Laney sound on its own. Been interested in trying some new flavors.

The Orange sound is gonna be tough to get out of a pedal. After using My Broe's OR120, and his GRO 50, I dont think I'll find anything that will sound the same, as those.

I'd like to try the Orange based one, but not for copping an Orange Sound. Just looking to try toans I dont have covered.

The Tech 21 Oxford does the Orange tone fairly close, but the AMT is nowhere near it. The Wampler Crush is also a great Orange in a box, but they have to be ordered over seas.

Already found the closest.

Wampler Crush the button >> OLC Orange Peel >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Monarch>>every other 'Orange' based pedal.

I have both the Wampler and the OLC on my board. I did a LOT of 'Orange in a dirt box' searching over last few years, and I believe that the crush the button is the best for high gain modern dirt sounds, and the Orange Peel does the 70's Orange overdrive well. The Monarch does have a touch of the sound a low gain, but is really its own pedal. The Tech 21 is okay but doesn't really sound like an Orange dirt sound, and the other pedals seem to be a dude blindfolded throwing darts at a picture of an Orange amp.
