As an artist, Kelly beats Carrie. My opinion of course. Kelly can sing in multiple styles (convincingly) and writes a lot of her own tunes. I see her as more of a musician when compared to Carrie.

Carrie's career has been very carefully crafted and is squarely in the pop country genre. I'm sure she's contributed some ideas to a handful of her songs but the vast majority are written by a team of Nashville writers.

And from a pure voice perspective,..well, that just comes down to personal preference. Both can sing, but I think Kelly's voice is much stronger top to bottom. Actually for me, it's not even close -- Kelly pwns her voice-wise.

Carrie wouldn't let you do those things to her. She's too self absorbed & high maintenence. Kelly is the dirty girl next door who loves to please.
