Well, this guys re-recording of St. Anger! Lol
I mean he just totally modernized it, but its still pretty well done. The vocalist is damn close to Jaymz as well..
While, i really haven't been a fan of metallica at all since 1988, (well up to 1991 when they crushed thhiis 14yo heart with a boring album to my younger self), i still can say there's always a few riffs and parts i like. Including st. Anger.. i guess i think this actually improves upon the original.

I checked this out a couple days ago, and I felt like it was actually really similar to the original

I agree the dude does a good Hetfield impersonation. I wasnt a super huge fan of the guitar tone. They obviously spent a lot of time on it, though, and overall I think they did a great job. Everything is really professionally done, recording-wise, which is TONS more than you can say about the original.

I know no one gives a shit and post everything in the gear forum. I understand that. But my OCD will continue to get in your way, so thread fucking moved.
I will not back down. I will not surrender.

Well, i made it thru the whole thing. Which is a first for me on any metallica record since the black.
Firat, the vocalist while pulling off his Hetfield impersonation, is leagues better than Hetfield. Secondly, i dont know where they cut 15 minutes off the original, but i do remember from what i did hear of the iriginal, it was very unfocused. This feels much more concise.
As far as production, its pretty well done. Raf, if i didnt know any better, that sounds like a triple rectifier to me. Granted a dual could prolly get that girth too, but from the few triples I've played, this felt like it with no boost. I dig it. And playing a triple rec at band volume with no boost is actually pretty bad ass.. Just a huge tone. Suited the simpler riffs of this album well.
