Tyler the Creator and Run the Jewels are both SICK good hiphop. Some of my favorites.

I like Drake alot too.

Other than that, not into it.

Potentially yes.

I have yet to see Anders live electric and from what I have been told, it borders on a religeous experience. Doing it in austin seems like.the right thing to do.

Mainly I am torn between going to Austin or New orleans. If I can pull off both and go to detroit again for the Woodward ream Cruise, I will be happy.

loop antemasque is a live thing. i havent gelled on the recorded material yet either. but when hes belting it out like the good old days and spraying a fire extinguisher in your face at a small venue, its different.

not sure how well that will translate to coachella.

This is one of the weakest lineups in my opinion. Some decent stuff like some of what you listed sprinkled throughout but that's how it usually is. A bunch of stuff i kinda like but not a single band that has me saying OH SHIT! I GOTTA GO!

I kinda agree except I've never seen ACDC so I might try to make it out to at least that date.

i used to seek out lineups with as much "holy shit" bands as possible, and would get screwed into choices at every turn. i quickly realized, party at coachella a few years ago, that at camping destination festivals its about having a whole lot of "wow, cool that theyre here" bands like your rev horton heats and your ratatats sprinkled throughout, and so you can sleep when you want, eat when you want, live your little festival life there without being tied to trying to surf a herd of thousands to get close to biggest reunion of the year or the surprise celebrity dj set.

so its not "i paid a bunch of money and drove a thousand miles to radiohead play when they are stopping through here on tour next month"

its "i paid a bunch of money and drove a thousand miles to camp in a cool spot and hang out with people and have my days packed with as much fun, rest, food, music, substances as i see fit"

or it was for us. and i love it.

and i dont even like EDM

if i did go, i should try to meet up with billy and mike in LA at some point. wanted to do some socal visiting last time, but the car exploded and all.

and if a picky motherfucker like me can enjoy himself at a hipster edm festival with a totaled car in the camping lot, thats a good time.

Yes there are acts I'd like to see but unless they were back to back (which they won't be) it's a lot of $$$ to go and deal with uber tools. No thanks.

I can get with that, but i wasn't referring to the headliners either (although i like having the option of seeing the big ones i enjoy a lot like when i went a few years ago and saw Refused 3rd row and Bon Iver soundcheck at 11am since nobody was there yet). I usually have a large handful of the small bands i really like sprinkled in, most of the ones for me this year are "cool, i'd see it if there was nothing else to see during that time". But i dig the atmosphere as well and those bands are good for what you said.
