Not the new shit, but first 2 albums with Frank Carter.

Old thread, but yeah I love old Gallows. Especially Orchestra of Wolves. Saw them live a few years ago, they were awesome. Frank was on form. They've sucked since he (and his brother Steph) left.
Glad I got to see them live in the good old days

Wish the Carters would start another band.

Frank Carter has a new band together "Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes"
They were pretty cool with Frank. I saw them a couple times with him on Warped Tour, and he always had a great deal of energy. One year, he even did the entire set from the middle of the pit.
I HATE them with Wade MacNeil though. I wish he would just quit and that Alexisonfire would get back together full-time

I like the EP and am glad to hear him kicking ass again. For whatever reason I loved him in Gallows even though the genre in general is not my favorite. Talented guy for sure.

Hard for me to put my finger on it too. I was raised on punk, but there's something special about those first two Gallows albums. I think a lot of it for me is that the dudes are definitely great musicians, but the music still sounds very raw. It's kinda complex given the genre, but never sounds formulaic or polished. It seems like with most of "modern" hard rock those things are mutually exclusive.

New Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes album 'Modern Ruin' released last month. Most of the album is less raw than their debit but lyrically it's top notch. I really like the overall sound.
I've listened to this album front to back like 5 times this tonight :-)

Man this Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes stuff sounds a lot like QOTSA with different style vocals. I dig it! I can't believe I've never heard of this dude?!?

Check out the early Gallows stuff too, Shea. Same singer.
