My favorite album of 2014 is from a new band who I think are incredible. (Don't worry, you can always revive the thread if something strikes your fancy over these last couple of months)

I don't think many people have heard of them in the states yet... but man... they're something special IMO.

I would say White Denim's Corsicana Lemonade but it came out in Oct 2013. Ryan Adams latest album is fucking fantastic. Not all heavy though.

I saw them live about a month or so ago, they ruled. And yeah, Corsicana Lemonade is a great record (so are their older ones).
Wu-Tang is for the children.

Just saw him for the 5th time play here in Austin at The Parish. THAT, my friend, is a performer. Stage presence and then some. Nobody compares to his voice in that genre right now (Charles Bradley is close though). The Expressions are one hell of a band as well.
