What are your thoughts on this?

So I am awaiting payment on my Strat and looking for a LP maybe, possibly a 2013 SG Standard in white or a used 61' reissue SG. Mainly looking for the 60's neck and I am finding the LP Classics for the most part in my range. On the other hand I have been watching this and really love the top on it,she has some player wear but no breaks and most definately would be in my range. It has been relisted a couple times and has gotten cheaper each time. Not to sure if the dings on the neck would bug me much. Not original tuners and pups also. What do you think of this? Or would you go with 1 of my other options?

And before you ask I do not have a local Gibson dealer to just pop in and try them out. I have a Guitar Center about an hour & 1/2 away but you just can't pop on in and try an 86' Les Paul out either. :o

That thing looks killer. The top is amazing...I'd do it plus if it stays around a grand. Plus ebony fb FTW. As far as the neck dings go I'd call 'em.

A very sexually appealing guitar.

I would go for it - that thing looks sweet.

I have a guitar with neck dings, you do get used to them, so for me it's no big deal.

If I had the cash, I'd jump on it.

You can do more than get used to them. My main guitar for a decade was a Strat with a nick directly behind the fifth fret, which made it easy to find my place on the neck without looking down. When I moved on from that guitar, it took me months to get past that.

Bottom line - don't worry about the neck ding. :nono:

It's a toss up , if the seller agrees to a few days to try it out , but he says "no returns" so no , but if he did I'd feel better about the deal .

If it was under a G I'd definitely jump on it. That's the hottest looking "lower end" LP I've ever seen.
