I'm craving a strat with humbuckers

Once I've finished sorting my custom Jag out I might think about getting a strat with humbuckers. I have been craving one for a long time, and I don't want to change my '89 MIJ Fender Strat; I love that guitar. I'm having BKP's Crawlers put in the Jag, I could go the route...
I could just put pups in this bad girl:

How about a Marauder with a Triplebucker pickup?
Ignore the buzz words that Fender use to describe it (Volcanic, Bone-Crishing etc etc)
It's quite simply a very good pickup that effectively provides 3 very usable tones.
When you add in the Jazzmaster pickup in the neck the guitar becomes ultra versatile - which is the reason I bought it.

Yeah, me too. I've always wanted a humbucker equipped strat w/a Floyd Rose. Here's my latest project. I'm going with 2 SD '59s and all black hardware & Floyd. I went with a satin finish on the maple neck, and protected my paint job on the body w/auto urethane. I now have the tuners & lock nut installed and am moving on to the body now. Cant wait to hear this thing when it's complete.

Very cool. I want to stay as far away from Floyd Rose's as possible.

i just picked up a cheapy RG for a project guitar & the shop had an FR Pro sitting there for $59. First project activity - Its replacing the edge iii. My first FR guitar - we'll see how that goes.

Now for pickups... I'm thinking of trying new Lukather transitions - i'm attracted to the sound samples (but of course it's lukather playing). For middle, one of the areas (e.g. 67) (edit: will be trying - ordered)

Dimarzio Tone Zone S would kick ass in the bridge slot of that thing

It's not nearly as hot as the full-size Tone Zone, but still lends a nice true bucker fatness that most sc-sized buckers lack.

Buy some used parts & build you a parts caster

I'll probably go with Bare Knuckle pickups to be honest. Some great suggestions though.

As long as your aren't set on Fender, I would highly recommend the older Yamaha Pacifica models [512/521 and higher]. These guitars are pretty cheap and play/sound amazing!
I picked up my Pacifica 912 [which is a HSS setup] for $325 shipped to me. It is absolutely my number one, in complete stock form. The 512 I own with some upgrades [new pickups, and electronics] and now it sounds as good as my 912 [just with some subtle differences].
If you get a x21 model, they are setup as HSH, whereas the x12 models are HSS

The Pacifica's can be nice.
