Finally broke down and got a 'new' pedal - used Bad Monkey I picked up from someone nearby for $40.
Looking for any tips, 'cause I'm pretty much a newbie to the pedal thing. I'm running a Gibson SG through a JCA50H and a mid-70's Fender Pro Reverb. The thing sounds killer with my JCA on pretty much any setting (was mainly trying it out on the low-gain channel).
Will get to try it out on the Fender on Thursday when I go to rehearsal at church - that's the main amp I bought the pedal for. Been trying to get a good, smooth, mild-gain tone from the Fender, but it just doesn't seem to agree with me (comes across as 'gritty' and harsh with other pedals I tried).
Any of ya'll running similar pedal / amp combos?
