How did this song slip past me?

IMO, KMFDM reigns supreme in the world of techno/industrial metal. I don't think anything comes close.

I liked them quite a bit in the 90's.

My favorite 90's industrial/metal was Killing Joke though. Love this song:

Yeah Killing Joke and Ministry are a bit more on the real side of industrial metal (awesome vids guys). KMFDM has always had a huge Euro techno component that makes them more of a dance industrial... which I have loved since I was 12. KMFDM's album Nihil heavily inspired me to want to create music. Gunter Schultz was a beast on the guitar and always wrote the dopest fucking riffs for that KMFDM sound.

I stopped listening to KMFDM after their album Xtort right around 98/99, and have had a sort of revival in the last 2 years rediscovering all the shit they've put out in between.

Lucia Cifareli is . I actually prefer a ton of last decade of KMFDM vs. everything prior.

I have always dug their (KMFDM) graphic design work/visuals but never took the time to listen to them. My interest in industrial peaked with that Ministry record and The Downward Spiral. A little went a long way for me in that genre tbh. Very representative of the 90s for sure.

Yeah I'm a 90's boy at heart. I was angry to come into my adulthood in the 2000's after Korn and Linkin Park killed rock. My happiest times listening to music was in the 90's. I guess that's why I'm so bitter on the board about modern rock/metal. I'm stuck in the 60's-90's.

I don't know if I would call myself musically bitter but I will admit freely to not giving a f**k about anything "rock" since about the same timeframe as you. There are exceptions in the metal world and other genres but I am pretty burnt on the idea of rock itself (wtf-ever that is anymore) :(

I felt that way too in the 00's but this decade has been really good IMHO.

Yeah you're right, but look at who it is making the music.... same guys or different incarnations of old bands, for the most part.

The closest thing to industrial to me that's audible.
