Looking at silent recording options for home studio work. The direct recording out on my Koch Studiotone works really well, but I'm kinda wanting to sell that amp. Honestly, the recording out is the main reason I've been hanging onto it. So I was thining about picking up some kind of hotplate type thing that can work as a load box and a separate DI, and I ran across these Koch units (man, the phrasing just keeps getting worse!) that combine attenuators, dummy loads, and recording compensated line-out/DI's.

Any of y'all used 'em?

Despite a million debates raging in his head over string guage, pickup height, Pete Townshend's sexual history, and pick material he makes his Shiva give up the goods. Plus his unplugged electric tone... well... it exists.
