It's long past time we have a thread for the dirty rockers of the world. I know the phrase Garage Rock encompasses a whole bunch of stuff. Let this thread be a wide open place for all of it.

I've been listening to these guys a bunch lately.

These are all some of my favorite bands to listen to. I freaking love the raw production most had, and how every instrument is entirely discernible.
Two humble submissions

Radio Birdman- one of the greatest bands from Australia

Demons (more modern Swedish garage band) do an album's worth of Radio Birdman covers, and it's pretty epic.

Haha. With a song called Strychnine, I wonder who was dropping tabs.

Awesome stuff.

I think it's about time to bust out the Fleshtones....

Yeah The Witch song makes you wonder about what those guys were seeing too.

Fleshtones are great
Perhaps a case of the Cramps to go with it? RIP Lux.

Cool, man.
I believe you and I have led similar amp lives.
I too owned a '66 Bassman and JCM 800 simultaneously. Wish I still had both. although I love my JMP and Peavey CL50 I have now. I've dialed in the CL50 to sound close to my old Bassman tone-wise, but the attack is quite different. And boosting my JMP with an 808 sounds pretty nuts on to my old 800. I'm 44 now, I've been using that basic 800 tone since I was 14, and I'll probably use that tone forever.
Anyway...I digress...back to garage rock.

Yeah, I love the Bassman. It's just a bit hard to deal with right now because the speakers are so harsh. But that will be rectified in the next week or so. I'm also planning on picking up one more nice guitar in the coming months. At 41, I've got pretty much all the toys I want, exactly how I want them. So it's time to just play and enjoy myself.

Once that is set, I'd like to get a 1936 Cabinet for the JCM.

Then I plan on just being a pedal crackhead.

Also would like to find a great guitar teacher.
