I finally finished building one. None more black.... I haven't had much time to play through it, yet.
From what I can tell, it sounds pretty flat; which is the idea. I'm planning on using it with my jazz
band this coming semester.

I used half-blind rabbet joints throughout. I pinned them with dowels as well. There are no
screws on any of the joinery; just PL-Premium. Putting it together felt like I was doing a huge
jig-saw puzzle.

Hopefully, these pics will show:

Did you build your own crossovers for it?
Some interesting reading on that site.

Nice build! Those fEARful cabs are great, big clean sound in a manageable size. Emi Kappas are phenomenal speakers too.

What will you be driving this beauty with?

I picked up the crossover kits from speakerhardware.com and put them together. There's virtually NO documentation, though.

I picked up a GK MB500 a few months ago. It sounds great running through this cab. I'm anxious to use it in rehearsal!

I'm planning on building a few preamps to run through the effects loop on the GK. An Alembic F1-X clone is easy enough to pull off and should open up the tonal palette a bit.
