Big Health Care has done a really good job of misinforming the American public about the Affordable Health Care Act.
Mark Twain said, "It's easy to fool someone but, it's impossible to convince someone that they've been fooled".
Don't let Big Health Care fool you! The Affordable Health Care Act is good for the 99% but, not for the Board of Directors at Kaiser Health!

Even if this is true, what does it have to do with Obamacare?

HA! The Affordable Health Care Act (Obama Care) doesn't kick in until 2014!!! WTF are you talking about?

Pretty sad when one has to resort to outright lies to support their views.

You mentioned UPS earlier. I work for them and they are not cutting benefits or hours for union employees (drivers, package handlers, etc.). Non-union (management) may see some changes, but none of that has happened as of yet.

It seems like you're just exaggerating things and spreading misinformation instead of putting out actual facts.

It's just conservatives projecting.

They're all Ayn Rand worshipers. As such, it's all about Greed and maximizing self interest. They assume doctors only go into it for the money. I actually know quite a few doctors, and my drummer who was a CPA knew dozens because he did their taxes every year and not one I've ever met even cared about the money. They all do it because it's a calling. They do it because saving lives, or being the best Neurosurgeon or whatever is what their lives are about.

Just one of the local hospitals hired 80 new doctors. They're stoked about the ACA because it'll allow them to funnel people into immediate care clinics for preventative care rather than the usual suspects clogging up the E-Room.

UPS is the only place in the world where people reject management positions. Lol

Only place where the workers make more money and have better benefits than those in management. Classic.

Honestly, who fucking cares how much it costs?

When you factor in the ongoing cost of care, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will cost about 3x that. They got us nothing.

Osama Bin laden killed almost 3000 Americans. Bush managed to beat that by 2000. And it got us nothing.

For once we're spending money on our own citizens. We're investing in our own citizens for the first time in several decades. It's about fucking time.

It's actually the lowest workforce since 1979, no spin just factual. I wonder what the retirement of a generation called the "baby boom" and the introduction of abortion and birth control pills would have on workforce numbers... :hmm:

Also, could you please link me to the article that states Walgreens is making "drastic cuts." They shifted 160,000 employees to Private Health Exchanges, but no mention of "drastic cuts" to be found.

What UPS is actually doing is cutting coverage for the spouses of non-union employees. It is only cutting coverage for spouses who have plans available through their own companies. I don't really see any issue with that.

The benefits change will only affect workers in the U.S., according to a memo to employees published yesterday by Kaiser Health News. Spouses who don’t work or lack employer-provided insurance will still be covered by the Atlanta-based company’s health plan, as will workers’ children, according to the memo. The change won’t affect 250,000 Teamsters union workers or employees in other countries.

I've never had a job in the private sector that included family coverage that didn't need to be purchased out of pocket.

You've got to read the entire article and not just the title. This is buried near the end of the one in Bloomberg:

The act isn’t the only reason employers are reassessing benefits, said Mercer’s Fuerstenberg. In its memo, UPS also cited “the rising cost of health care in general” and expenses for chronic conditions such as cancer and heart disease.

Lets see...

Osama instigates an operation. I'll even call it a war although that doesn't fit because he wasn't a head of a nationstate. He instigates a "war" which kills 3000 citizens completely unprovoked.

Bush turns around and starts a war on someone completely different, in a completely different part of the world, for completely different reasons. In the end, untold numbers of civilians are dead and roughly 5000 Americans are dead. This was completely unprovoked.

What would you call it?

Bush gets a pass on A-Stan. We should have went in, got the AQ assholes and left.

Instead, we went in, got some of them, pulled most of our resources to start the buildup for Iraq, left a token force in A-Stan to get shot at for several years and try and do "Nation Building" which is really just code for "Which corrupt warlord do we like this week" and we invaded a country (Iraq) which had nothing to do with anything.

The only thing Bush could have done worse would have been to invade Turkey.

I would like to know the source of your numbers. I will provide you with the latest numbers from the Congressional Budget Office.

http://www.cbo.gov/publication/44176

From 5/14/2013:

"When estimates are compared on a year-by-year basis, CBO and JCT’s estimate of the net budgetary impact of the ACA’s insurance coverage provisions has changed little since February 2013 and, indeed, has changed little since the legislation was being considered in March 2010. In March 2010, CBO and JCT projected that the provisions of the ACA related to health insurance coverage would cost the federal government $759 billion during fiscal years 2014 through 2019 (which was the last year in the 10-year budget window being used at that time). The newest projections indicate that those provisions will cost $710 billion over that same period.

Those amounts do not reflect the total budgetary impact of the ACA. That legislation includes many other provisions that, on net, will reduce budget deficits. Taking the coverage provisions and other provisions together, CBO and JCT have estimated that the ACA will reduce deficits over the next 10 years and in the subsequent decade.

CBO and JCT’s current projection of the budgetary impact of the ACA’s coverage provisions is $1,363 billion over the 2014–2023 period. That amount represents an increase of $40 billion from the February 2013 estimate of $1,323 billion. Although the gross cost of those provisions is now projected to be $74 billion less over the 10-year period, various payments to the government and other savings related to those provisions are now also estimated to be less—by $114 billion; the combination of those two effects has boosted the projected net cost of the coverage provisions."

And from the July 24, 2012 letter to John Boehner on the effects of repealing the ACA (H.R. 6079) http://www.cbo.gov/publication/43471

"Assuming that H.R. 6079 is enacted near the beginning of fiscal year 2013, CBO and JCT estimate that, on balance, the direct spending and revenue effects of enacting that legislation would cause a net increase in federal budget deficits of $109 billion over the 2013–2022 period. Specifically, we estimate that H.R. 6079 would reduce direct spending by $890 billion and reduce revenues by $1 trillion between 2013 and 2022, thus adding $109 billion to federal budget deficits over that period."

Let me repeat that for you. Repealing ACA will increase the deficit by $109 billion from 2013-2022.

Don't let Big Health Care fool you! The Affordable Health Care Act is good for the 99% but, not for the Board of Directors at Kaiser Health!

Your 99% stastic is grossly overrated, we were promised and told that the bill was originally around $900 billion (remember that?) and now costs are estimated at over $2.6 TRILLION (almost 3 times cost!)..... but hey whats a few trillion among friends?

I know this hits home for you based on your military background, but comon man, inflammatory language saying Bush killed more americans than a terrorist doesn't do anybody any good ... unless you're trying to push buttons

Yet, it's still not outright lies like you typed above. Being a liar is not good, hard tail. Your liar of a wife is just as bad.

... not buying what you're selling Ronnie boy. I'm enjoying your feeble attempts to provoke an outburst by insulting my wife - you're not worth it.
