We felled this Paulownia a few yards from the Atlas wood shop back in February. Made it into a Low Rider amp stand.

Super strong yet lightweight as Balsa.

Made for a Tone King Metro.

The design took a while to clean up, but it was well worth the effort...

ty JerEvil!

Pondering instrument neck rests this week...thinking the two support pins will stow in the leather cradle and the sides can flatten/fold to fit nicely within any carry case or setup bench.

Nice contest! - entered.
So one entry keeps you in all for drawings?
Or do you need to re-enter each week?

We wrapped this project up yesterday. It's an Atlas Low Rider Guitar Amp Stand with a Kick-Out Guitar Stand on the front as well as Backrest Extensions. Total weight is super light at 6.5 pounds. Designed to fit a Koch Jupiter combo amp. The closure strap is integrated into the leather monogram inlay. This one also has a carry handle on the back spanner.
You may see this one on stage somewhere near Philly soon!

The backrest extensions allow Atlas Amp Stands to reach the very top of an amp cab…useful when there is no bracing on the back to support the amp on the stand. It helps with versatility as well if you have several amplifiers.

This is a Paulownia Low Rider with backrest extensions and a Kick-Out guitar stand (you use your toes to open and close it, that's how it got its name).

Walnut Low Rider Atlas Amp Stand. This is the second "Slide-Out" adjustable guitar stands we've built. The guitar stand is more difficult to build than the amp stand it fits in. Takes a while to make this rig.

Built to fit a Tone King Metro or Sky King: http://atlas-stands.com/tone-king-metro ... xtensions/
