I liked dishonored, but yea...it would probably suck to play it right after this

Take my word for it, it does suck. I can tell that a lot of work went into Dishonored. It looks pretty, and everything is well-designed. But, it just doesn't have anywhere NEAR the depth of Bioshock Infinite or TLoU. It feels cheap, even though I know it isn't. :idk:

Those two games are the only games I've ever played that, immediately after finishing them, I started another run-through. Immediately. As in, the credits rolled, I got the trophy for completing it, and just started another playthrough that second.

Is it fair to compare a game to one that comes out a year later though? Dishonored got great reviews at the time and was a lot of fun. I agree that I wouldn't go back and play it again though

One thing I'm realizing about TLoU is that there are parts I could have gone through without actually killing all the people/clickers. That's something that would make me want to play again

I loved Dishonored. One thing to remember, which you probably already know, but I didn't pick up on until my second play through, is that you can blink directly into an assassination. Even with the Tallboys. If you get up high enough, like a lamp post, you blink into them and immediately press the assassination button and it will take them out. Very cool. If you get the jump higher perk you can also sneak up behind tallboys, jump, and assassinate them. There are some extremely creative ways to take dudes out in that game.

That said, I agree with Murdoch. B:I (and I have a feeling TLoU will be as well) is one of the best games I've played in my entire life. I too immediately started it over after the credits rolled. I also found myself humming Will The Circle Be Unboken for a week straight.

I also really love the Arkham games. I'd put Arkham City in my top 3. I'm excited for this new one. It reminds me of Batman Returns (set during Christmas) and the city is much larger, especially vertically, and that should make for all kinds of fun.

I absolutely LOVED Arkham City. I used to wake up, play that game for like 5 hours and realize it was 2pm an I hadn't done anything with my Saturday  I cannot wait for the next one.

Arkham City is also an amazing game. I'd probably put it in top 5 as well. B:I and TLoU are tied for first. I can't decide which one of these is better. Shea, did you know that the same guy who did the voice for Booker is the voice for Joel?

I did not know that but that is cool! His southern accent ain't half bad. :D

Its cool to see the Arkham love. I've traded that game in and re-bought it 5 times now.

I picked it up for a 5th time last week to play it in anticipation for the new one. You know, just to make sure I can still get those massive combos like a boss! :D

The graphics are absolutely gorgeous, the gameplay is STUPIDLY intense. So much so that you have to take small breaks. This shit is dark, incredibly bleak, and is an absolute must experience if you play video games. I'm still at the beginning, and it's already better than most games that I've ever played. So, so good. PLAY THIS GAME.

A friend of mine says its one of the best games hes EVER played to date, & hes not one to make idle chatter..

I just finished the part in the hotel with the generator at about 45%. Holy shit! I'm not sure if I've played a more terrifying thing ever.

I find myself absolutely drained after certain parts of this game, but then here we are the next day and I can't wait to play more. It's a bizarre feeling.

I'm excited to keep playing but almost as excited to eventually finish. It's not that the game is too hard, but rather that its hard for me to deal with (I think)

That probably sounds ridiculous, or maybe it's just because I don't usually like "horror" type games.

If you're talking about the one I'm thinking of...

First time I did that I was all, "Yeah, I know shit's gonna happen as soon as I fire this up."

Fired it up. Surprise surprise, some fuckers emerge. Yeah, you're all fucked, I had my shotgun ready for you cunts... oh shit, a few more than I expected... OH SWEET MOTHER OF FFFFF... *running away like a little bitch*

Then a while later I was at a friend's house while he was playing through, and he got up to that bit. He got stuck there for a bit coz he just hadn't spotted the generator. So I eventually pointed it out, and he stops... "I'm gonna get my shit fucked as soon as I turn this on, aren't I?"

"Uhhh... I think a few guys might come out... I don't really remember."

Same thing, "Ohh yeah, no problOHHH FUCK!!" He fuckin' shat himself and I shat myself laughing. "You fuckin' knew exactly what was gonna happen you cunt."

Nope, it's a very emotionally and mentally taxing game...It really is...Naughty Dog knocked it out of the park with this game. If you don't feel a connection to certain characters throughout the game, you're a dead soul inside :)

Seriously...I knew that part was going to fuck me up. The second I ended up in the basement I was bummed

Third try I flipped it on and ran like a bitch for the key swipe. Only had to kill 2 of them. I also thought the first time I'd destroy with my shotgun...but that didn't go well

Good to know, but I'm also sort of a bitch with scary games  I had to play Mario after so I wouldn't have nightmares about that hotel scene

I'm not really enjoying this game anymore. I find it irritating and the slow pace is killing me. The mechanics also feel too heavy and fumbling like GTA3. I too am at the part with the generator. I picked up the key card, and was about to start the generator when I was like, "Fuck this is just gonna get irritating as fuck cause I know a bloater is gonna show up." Powered off. Don't have any plans to pick it back up.

Yeah, the cutscene before I'm going, "Nooo... don't be a cunt... you motherffff" and then I end up in a dark flooded basement. Yeah sure, this'll be easy. There's sure to be no fuckin' trouble down here.

First time at the generator after I initially tried shooting my way through and then briefly attempted running.... died. Then I sat there for a bit just staring at the screen, "How the fuck? What? It's surely impossible to take on that lot. I wouldn't even have the ammo for it... Well, only option then is to just run like a little bitch."

Fuckin' nailed it... best running ever. Got through without a scratch or firing off a single round. And then I went to get a change of underwear. :o

The bridge? You're not even halfway through the game.

That's what I hear. I must be taking my time, since I'm at 9.5 hours in. Says I'm at 52% though, and I thought its completed around 85%
