Btw, you’ll notice your face feeling great using the stupefacente.

Dude what’s the differences between the models of Wilkinson Swords?

I found a 300 pack on eBay for like $50, but they look different than the ones you sent me; they’re called Wikinson Sword Classics and they’re by Gillette, those are different, right?

There are 4 different ones I know of:
1. Those NOS ones I sent you. Made in UK. Has a Napoleonic horse guy on the hang card.
2. The German ones with a white or black card in the white or black plastic dispenser. Wal Mart carried these for a while.
3. The Wilkinson Gillette ones from India. I have some. I haven't tried them yet.
4. The German Wilkinson Ecomomie. Yellow card. Blue plastic dispenser. Blade has no writing on it. Kind of rare. not special, but decent.

fancy pants big dollar shave.
New Blackland Brass Blackbird. Longer handle. Safety Bar. BOught the inkwell stand. Shaved good. I think I still like the open comb blackbird more.
Gillette Blue Platinum. Good blade.
Grooming Dept. Rose Chai Mallard. Oily. smells like duck fat. awesome!
Chatillon Lux Unconditional Surrender. These are awesome aftershaves. Relatively reasonable pricing considering the scent strength, performance, and classy presentation.

9/10.

Been using my RazoRock Plissoft Beehive Synthetic for about a week now...
Two thumbs up and five stars! :thu: :thu: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:
1) Really easy to control the amount of water on the brush, before hitting the soap
2) I can beat the shit out of it, while lathering, without losing any bristles
3) Lathers like a champ
4) I can beat the shit out of it while drying it on a towel

Thanks for the suggestion Gene!!! :hi5:

Dude, I love that you love it.

THey're amazing. My wife took one of my synthetic knots (just like the RR knots) that I'm going to use in my brush build and rubbed her face with it. She was like, "This feels good!"

I forgot to do this today. :(

SOTD:

Image

So, I wanted dramatic springtime in my pic. So, I did a silver/green theme.

Razor: Fatip Faux Horn Testina Gentile. Damn. This thing is gentle, but nice. I love the look. Great feel. I would buy this again.

Blade: Voskhod. Russian. Teflon. I went AK74 shooting the other day, now I have gun fever, Russian style. This blade is ok. Not as bad as the USTA. Not great, but at $.07 or whatever, I can toss them after every shave. I like the commie look of these.

Soap: TFS Anniversary Fern. This soap is interesting. First off, it lathers more than anything I've ever used. I legitimately had too much lather. That's rare for somebody who doesn't use a bowl. It smells super artificial in the most awesome way. VERY similar to Uncle Walter, but more spring timey?? Shaves awesome. It has an ugly yellow color in the container. I'm so glad this didn't burn me. I've been worried about fougeres, but that fear apparently only pertains to formulas that contain natural oakmoss. This stuff is a 10/10 the more I think about it.

Brush: Ahh, I love this Plissoft Noir 400. Nice heavy handle. Great feel. It was nice to switch up today.

Aftershave: Myrsol Formula C. This stuff is like a Cucumber Watermelon Vervain. VERY interesting. It reminds me of a scent from years ago. Provence Sante Verlaine. Fantastic. The Myrsol splashes always excel, albeit, expensively. You pay to get Euro splashes now with the alcohol import regulations.

Today: 8.5/10 - only deduction is this blade is a bit too dull for such a gentle razor. too much buffing, but still no burn.

Wanted to see if Monday's shave was a fluke.....same gear, even same blade.

NOT a fluke, this shit is AWESOME.

If I was doing that March 4/4, this would be the gear to do it with.

Tried them. SOTD:

Image

Razor: Fatip Retro with Gentile closed comb. KILLER.
Blade: India Sword Gillilkinsette. Not bad. not Great. Shaved alright. on par with a Voskhod, maybe? However, I had some strange splotches on my face 30-60 minutes after my face. That only happens with a Burry blade I don't like. I have 49 of these. Do you guys all want me to divide them up amongst thee?
Brush: RR Plissoft Monster. My least favorite RR synthetic. The knot is a tad wide, and it splays out too far. I can't get a concentrated scrub on my face without choking way up on the knot, which isn't comfortable. The 400 noir was SOOO much better yesterday.
Soap: TFS Granducato Toscano. Performs like the character series. lots of lather. good shave. nice scent. scent could be stronger though.
Aftershave: My beloved Wholly Kaw Fougere Bouquet. LOVE IT.

Overall: 7/10 due to Gillinkinsette India Sword mediocre performance, and negative post shave effects.

Yeah I'd take some, your face seems to be more sensitive than mine, I'd like to see if they'd work before I bought 100 or whatever.

Interesting shave today. Used a new BADGER brush and a new, obscure Turkish blade.
Razor: Fatip Retro Gentile. awesome. This is the only reason I can use such shitty blades lately.
Blade: Zaza Stainless. Looks like something out of the Zoltar machine. Total shit.
Brush: German Superior Shave Badger. Got it for $20. Kind of small. kind of scritchy. worked okay. Better than my Vulfix badger.
Soap: TFS Linea Intenso Bergamot Neroli. Definitely good! Lather wasn't as fine as normal. I'm thinking this brush may have been the culprit. Great scent. No burn.
After shave: Linea Intenso Bergamot Neroli. This is good stuff!
Post shave spray: Linea Intenso Bergamot Neroli. This is really just for fun to add to the smell since it's just water and scent. I just love the bottle. I had to have it. I keep one of these in the car.

Overall, 7.5/10. Crap blade from Zoltar left some stubble. Otherwise, a great experience.

This SLOC is some next level shit. Tried different blade today, just as good. I seriously think I might have found a lifetime razor. This thing is badass and I can't believe the price.

UW is always noice, Old Salt was old and salty.

Would rate higher, as I like the scent of UW better than the Stupafacente, but the way my face feels after Stupa is way better.

Stein, I’m getting ready to buy that razorock Bruce brush. I want to see how that concave handle compares to everything else. It might loosely be the basis for my line of brushes, but with sharper edges.

Nice man! Let me know what you think. I really like it a lot, it’s really comfortable to use.

I really like that shorter one you have too; think about maybe doing something like that as well.

Also, you have a whole group of beta testers here ya know! :call:

Waves is pretty badass. It’s how I get back to my roots. It’s the boutique knockoff of Gillette wild rain from the 90’s. This is where I got my start.

Permasharp blade was ok.

Baby smooth is just a fun razor to use.

Good day.

8/10 just because my face didn’t clean up quite like it should. Seemed like lots of buffing.

Okay, I just had a 10/10. The Gillette, the blade (it wasn’t a Feather, but I just swapped it for one), and the Cremo Sandalwood - they added up to a lightning fast, buttery smooth, no weeper shave. I feel like the annoyances of the week were cut away, and the only thing that would have made it better would be using actual butter.

Yep just ordered it.

Also ordered 3 kilos of rasozero soap and 6 cans of rasozero preshave from Spain. Pretty stoked.

I like kilos of soap. It’s like buying 100 packs of blades.
