Woodstock '99 8/10
Great documentary about one of the greatest clusterfucks in music history. I blame Limp Bizkit.

I watched that last night too. The promoter, John Scher, sure did come off like a pompous douchebag. Anthony Kiedis choosing to play "Fire" for their encore was low too.

So much douchebaggery all around. Clearly a cynical cash grab.
I still blame Limp Bizkit.

Went to the Green Knight with my son last night. Typical A24 mindset. Dev Patel was good (and apparently seems to star in things only where he is a lonely protagonist for most of the movie running time). Decent fairy tale plot but wayyyyyyyy quiet, dark and bloated like everything that is A24 related. With the most trollish ending line in any movie I have ever seen

Some neat visuals but I won't be watching again.

Wrath of Man - 7.8/10
Was actually pretty good, once you suspend disbelief about bank truck heists and all the logistics there.

I have not watched much lately and I hate superhero movies, but I had to do some work on some stuff for work with The Suicide Squad and it looked really fun and I have only ever liked that particular directors other superhero movies (Gunn?). I loved it. I thought it was a brilliant movie.

I thought the Suicide Squad was one of the best super hero movies yet. Bit of a return to gory form for Gunn.
I enjoyed the Harley vignette but I felt like it robbed the movie of some momentum. Same for the sad backstory scene in the van. I understand why they were there but I think the movie would have been as good without them and the pace would have kept up.
still, easily a 9/10.

I had never seen Harley Quin as a character before this movie. Granted, I work in the movie industry, so I have seen Margo looking hot as her in pics and short trailers, but never seen her in a movie as the character. At least in The Suicide Squad movie, I thought her performance is absolutely amazing. What a great character. I loved every scene she was in and she ain't bad to look at.
Now, i have been warned to not watch Birds of Prey or Suicide Squad, because they are awful movies and I don't intend to because they look like awful movies. Shame, because I'd watch that character in another well-written film in a second.

I dunno why but I figured you were in to all those comic animated movies..... Harley is a great character on the whole and Robbie does her justice in the live action adaptation IMO.... I haven't seen the new Suicide Squad as yet, the Mrs and I plan on watching it tonight, but in the first SS movie and the Harley Quinn movies even though they were terrible, she was pretty good

I know I watched the other 2? I think Robbie is awesome as the character. Really on every level. I don't recall enjoying the one with Will Smith in it because; well; Will Smith. And the Birds of Prey was better than everyone said it was. But still not very good? This one was juuuuuuuuuuuust right.

Yeah she really killed it in the movie. I really like the whole sequence, especially the flowers/birds at the end. I've never seen anything quite like that.

I enjoyed The Suicide Squad but not as much as everyone seems to. Also, everyone focus on Harley but for me it was about Idris Elba being an unrestrained badass for 2 hours.

I'm with you on that. Anything Idris does is gold. I was just surprised by Margo Robbie. I mean, she is a great actress, but I never expected that character out of her.

I loved that movie. I went and saw it with my dad and we enjoyed it greatly. My grandpa was a mechanic in Ford’s Experimental Design Garage during that era. At one point he had plans and worked on one of the MkIVs from 67. I’m not sure if he was involved with any of the work from 66 or not. His name is on a plaque in the Ford Automotige Hall of Fame in Dearborn along with the car AJ Foyt and Dan Gurney drove. I don’t know if he actually made the trek overseas or not. Wish he was still around when that movie came out. He could have told me just how much was wrong hahaha.

oh damn that's cool..... one thing I know that was off for sure what the negotiations between Ford and Ferrari... there was a lot more back and forth, also iacocca wasn't directly involved from what I've read.... the breaking point of the contract was correct though, Ferrari didn't like losing control of this race team and well, company...... what I've read was that they were back and forth for quite some time and the deal was 95% in the bag, Enzo rolls up for what was supposed to be their last meeting to sign the contact, flips out and tells the Ford reps to fuck off and get out his building lol
