Dr. Sanjay Gupta last night said that of the people aged 20-50 that have been hospitalized and released, they have lost an average of 25% of their lung capacity and he doesn't know if it is permanent. That sure puts all those people out drinking in Nashville, New York, Princeton, etc. in a whole new light. You're 25, sure this virus may not kill you, but you may never walk up a flight of stairs again without wheezing. Go out drinking. Yolo.

Lovely. So we knew but downplayed it to everybody but business leaders 'cause reasons. Cool.
Can't wait for the dildo brigade to get ahold of that headline and not read the story.

The county I live in in central Indiana just announced that effective at 8:00 tonight, all public facing businesses excluding healthcare, stores that sell or manufacture food, auto repair shops and a few others, are closed until April 6th. That includes liquor stores. Shit is getting real, folks...

Indiana and closed liquor stores?
Sheeeeit. How long before the looters arrive?
Went to the grocery mid day to try to avoid the after work rush. ZERO paper products except one package of off-brand sandpaper grade toilet paper in the entire store. Meats wiped out. Canned goods basically down to onesy-twosy level. And the bread and freezer aisles look like a gawd damn war zone.
You'd think eventually everybody would be fully stocked on TP, but I guess not. Can't even get the good stuff on Amazon at this point. Glad we usually keep an extra package of it. If we were weekly buyers we'd be hosed right now.

Wow, what a way to go...
In the middle of the first century Seneca reported that a Germanic gladiator had committed suicide with a sponge on a stick. The Germanic gladiator hid himself in the latrine of an amphitheater and pushed the wooden stick into his gullet and choked to death.[7]

Growing up on a farm in the 70s we would wipe our ass with clapped out corn cobs. Coons would strip them dry.
We'd be out in the woods climbing trees and exploring and eventually have to take a dump. Just a matter of grabbing whatever to get the job done.

True story:
There was some big scare back in the late seventies, early eighties, where everybody got convinced there was gonna be a toilet paper shortage. My grandma ran with it and was so convinced she started stockpiling corn cobs and husks from the corn bin (we picked whole ears back then and ran them through either a grinder or a shucker after). Then she ran into town every day for WEEKS buying every roll she could find of the brand she liked. The entire upstairs of the house, the back storage room on the main floor, and half the basement were filled with toilet paper.
I would bet they used on that supply until they moved out of the house. I know they were still using it the last time I visited them before they moved to the old folks home, in like 2008 or 2009.
Grandpa told her to settle her shit and she just kept right on cruising into town buying toilet paper until there was literally no room to walk up the stairs into the top floor and no room to get into the storage room for our food supplies. It was ridiculous. Wonder what she'd be doing now that there actually *IS* a shortage?

My ass is notoriously durable (check out Vivid Videos

At the very least. I mean, it's proven he knew this shit was going down well in advance of any public acknowledgement by the government, and he timed it *JUST* right to get full value before the crash started? Fuck me. String him up by the nutsack and let children dance on his face.

I don’t think it will be a surprise, with reliable numbers, this virus will prove to be well below 1% fatal. And the idea we are treating a potential Devastating situation with measures that will Guarantee it, is starting to feel exactly like what’s happening.

We MUST MUST MUST get off chinas nipple and start producing things back here in good ole USA
Its not just lip service and "Merica" type talk , its real shit. they make almost everything over their and they fucking steal a bunch of it, its crazy that we make most of our medicine, respirators and other vital equipment over there. There is some talk about bringing it back to production here and it cant be soon enough imo
.
