First world problems: We close on our new house tomorrow morning and move most the stuff on Thursday. My wife wanted to have some things done like painting some rooms before we move in so it was going to be done tomorrow. We already have people backing out because they're afraid to leave the house. Crazy times and we're glad to just get all this over with.

I feel bad for all the people that basically live day to day on tips, now being told they can't work for 21 days. Those people are going to need more than a $1000 taxable donation...
I still think the response to all this is madness, but we are playing along. Wife has been working from home with me since Friday. We cancelled our Hawaii trip next week and we're basically self-quarantining at the house til summer I'm guessing. I had to pick up a Strymon Iridium because my afternoon guitar practice sessions were interrupting her conference calls.

I’m not going to take life advice from someone who can’t spell ‘martial law’ correctly. I just won’t do it.

airlines have spent 97% of their profits on stock buy backs. that should have been their cushion for tough times. now the tax payers are bailing them out. cruise lines pay no taxes and are based out of the country. now the tax payers are bailing them out. are we capitalists or socialists? shouldn't those businesses fail and someone else rise up and start a new company in their place? this is horseshit.

Bros: Science Daily as of yesterday reported. via UMass Amherst, The median incubation period is 5 days. 97.5% of people who develop symptoms will do so in 11.5 days. So, there you go. It's not 14 days. It's not 28 days. Good news, IMO.

That is some good news and we seem to know how long it lasts on surfaces, oddly it lasts 24 hours on cardboard
They have tested a vaccine on some people in the Washington/Seattle area - hopefully we get some good news or progress

A Chinese scientist has claimed a 100% success rate to cure it with stem cell injections on 9 very ill patients. At least a little good news although there’s the typical “we need to more testing” caveat. I’m sure it won’t cost more than $100k.
