I don't think that is the future of Rock N Roll. The future of Hip Hop perhaps... But see, that flow seems so weak to me. None have great rhythm when their flowing. Like Tupac on All Eyez On Me. Dude had a cadence and rhythm to his lyrics that worked with the beat. These dudes spit all slow and mongloidish. Like a retarded version of Wu-Tang.

I mean I get there is all the col underground back pack rap nowadays. But it doesn't hit me like the old stuff. My interest rap fell dramatically once I gained facility on the guitar.

I think you got the idea, but missed the humor. Yes, IMHO the world would be better without Rap.

Why ? Shouldn't be hard to understand. And why do you assume I like Country Music ?

I don't assume you like country. I'm saying I don't but I'm sure there might be some id listen to. Just saying I keep an open mind.

I forgot about Tupac. I was never a fan per se; but his skills on the mic are undeniable. I also forgot to add ODB; speaking of retarded (in a good way, RIP)

let me tell you these kids who go to these shows get downer than a bucnh of skinheads at any fucking punk show Ive been to. They pit like fucking crazy, and even have members from the audience jump off from the 2nd story down into the 1st floor audience to fuck shit up. Completely gnarly shit :thu:

Yeah its rap, but they make it rock n roll.

:nono:

Just because there's a pit and people doing stupid stuff doesn't make it Rock and Roll.............actually.....just add Johnny Knoxville and it makes it Jackass

Cadence is a word that has pretty much lost all of it's meaning in modern music. It's not just rappers that have sucky flow. Listen to all these douchebag singer songwriters strumming away with no meter(internal, external, whatever works). Just free-jamming crap. I work midnights, so I see the worst of it on Leno, letterman, etc.. It's deplorable. Every now and then I'll catch something good. But more often than not, I see Letterman or Leno struggling to say something nice.

But really, they're like me. All WTF??? :freak: :freak:

It's like even 4/4 is hard now.

No, please also add Meat Loaf, Sammy Hagar, Chad Sexton, Ted Nugent, Gene Simmons and most of the rest of the list. I'm talking about current output. I'd rather listen to Kanye West than most of what the artists on the list are putting out right now.
