Hey GK?
Sounds like a hell of a gig you had here.

Not that there's anything wrong with a scheduled basement gig that goes to the garage, gets broken up and goes back to the basement. Shit, that's just rock and roll.
There may be something wrong with a dude not following through and doing what they said they were gonna do. Whoah, sorry, that thought's probably way too complicated to process.

Actually, this makes perfect sense. No one wants old people coming to their house show. If you're over 21, you're too old. Playing at a venue or god forbid a bar goes against all DIY principles

Sheetrock
Wainscoting
Crown molding
And I need another set of hands to do any of those things
Wtf is wrong with me

Yep. I just wish he could have held on to his punk pride and told me to fuck off cause I'm too much of a fuddy-duddy when I asked instead of that he'd find out and tell me later.

Dont feel sad about it now.
There, there now, Im pretty sure they just forgot to invite you is all.
It's going to be alright it happens sometimes people simply forget, they arent trying to be mean.
Frankly, I'd rather they didn't invite me. That I'm used to. It's the backhanded, "you're invited to a non-specific place at a non-specific time but it'll be specific later" deal that's sorta

.
That + boredom = this thread

Dude, you're making this too easy. The user name is probably the most brilliant thing you've ever come up with. It's crossed many forums and you haven't been caught. Don't give it up now.

I liked it better when you were telling him to chug bleach and hang himself over a pile of his shitty guitars.
Oh, BTW, did you see Ben & Jerry's is releasing a Scotchy Scotch Scotch Scotch flavor of ice-cream to commemorate the new movie?

I don't think he gigs at all and is in fact a liar. I could be wrong. But the poser is disproportionately strong with that one.

Seems so. I was there for a bit after the great upheavel at HC and still check it from time to time. There's some real whipping boy level loserdom crawling that place, and they all seem so proud of it.

Hey this is the first I'm reading this.......linked from that other thread.
I apologize for not telling you Sioux Falls didn't work out. Pretty lame for not keeping you in the loop,I admit.
Actually I didn't really know until the last minute. I do not do the booking.
Friday and Saturday got switched because the guys couldn't find a show in Sioux Falls.
We were planning to do Twin Cities, Sioux Falls, Rapids City.
We ended up doing LaCrosse, Twin Cities, Rapids City. Fucker of a drive to play with Kylesa.
The LaCrosse show was okay. Not a huge turn out, but very cool venue and very nice people.
Twin cites was the garage show/move to basement. While not very professional, that was one of the best fun shows I've ever played. Tons of kids there. Sold a lot of merch.
In rapids city, again not pro, but opened for Kylesa.....which was fun. Good show too. Lots of fans came back from the last time we were there. Kylesa killed it. So good.
Definitely not a liar. Sometimes stupid, rude and an asshole....yes.
I'm not a pro. Don't claim to be.
Though I have been lucky enough to play with two bands now that have done a few DIY tours. I've learned a lot and gotten to see the United States both east and west of the Mississippi.

I usually ask for the treatment I'm given here. I've been a troll and just plain stupid just to get you guys fired up.
Why? Not sure. Attention maybe? Trying to fit in? Maybe. Used to being an ass on HC OJ? Yup.
Either way. I'm sorry guys.

On top of that, for the band's sake I should clean up my act.
I don't really have anonymity online and I just shouldn't be linking a shitty attitude to the band at all.
This is not a place to do that.
In person, I'm sure all of you would be shocked with how shy I am.
I guess online forums became to vent unabashedly and be vulnerable without consequence.
It's obvious those lines were blurred long ago.
My friends and bandmates would also be shocked by the shit I say, since it's such a contrast to who I really am.

I'm in Poney. They've been together for many years. I'm not on any of the recordings, but have played with them for around 2 years.
I was previously in Romero. I played bass and helped start that band, but had to step down.

Thanks for the explanation and apology. Best of luck in trying to be a more chipper participant. As I stated elsewhere, I don't feel the need for this to come up again and it's water under the bridge for me.
