Check out the Peavey Bravo 112... it was listed as a marshall in a box back in 1993 and it does have a great cranked tone at tv levels. Two el84 tubes... based on a marshall plexi schematic I believe.

THR10. I only have the 5, it sounds damn good, I can only imagine having a 3 EQ knobs would make it sound better.

If you aren't convinced or worried its internet hype, go to your GC and try one out. Crank the Master, adjust gain to taste, move Volume to whereever you like, enjoy.

I have a Bravo, it sounds awesome, even at lower volumes, but if I was purchasing an amp to just be my "jam at home" amp, I'd go with a THR10 over it. Now, if I had to choose one of those two as my only amp, the Bravo would win there of course.

That said, OP, if you find a Bravo, do what lespaul6 says and grab it.

I just bought the THR5 and it sounds fantastic! IMO the 10 version is a waste of money because if you have a great sounding guitar, and you know how to use the tone knob, you can get some really great tones out of the 5. Plus the 5 is less money too.

I disagree completely. The THR10 just plain sounds better due to the bigger cab. Also, the bass and acoustic models are worth the price hike alone. Not having the AUX/USB output control is another drawback on the THR5. Add in full EQ and programmable presets, and it was a no brainer for me. I played the two side by side before I made my decision.

Don't get me wrong, the 5 is great, but the 10 is more greater

My question would be whether or not the THR5 has all the INTERNAL features that the 10 has once you fire up the software?? The software is where the THR really shines. There is a TON of good stuff under the hood that you can't get to with just the knobs.

have you seen or heard the mahaffey aW99? its agrand but does a lot, its like 10 watts.
