^^^^ More blacks have used the SYG law in Florida than all the other racial groups combined. Mr Z, did not even use the SYG law in his defense, it has nothing to do with this case. His defense was simply self defense in that he was fearful of grievous injury at the hands of Mr M. SYG never came into play.

People in other states have no business telling folks in any other state what their laws should be like. If you don't like the laws in any given state, just don't live there. If the SYG needs to be changed it is the responsibility of the voters in Florida to make that decision not bystanders from elsewhere. If there was no shit to get stirred up, people like Jackson and Sharpton would have no function. They create hatred situations out of nothing to justify their existence. Racism is perpetuated by these kinds of persons.

Those aren't exactly "centrist"

No publication is free from bias, but someone who seeks out information over entertainment can counter that by reading both sides. The Economist is a British Publication the leans slightly right, maybe Libertarian, The Wall Street Journal leans Right. The NY Times leans left. I live in D.C. so I try to read the Times and Post. The Post leans left and the Times leans right. Regardless, these sources are actual news. They are not just opinions and pontificating like you would hear on T.V. or the radio, unless you only read the editorial sections in these publications.

Also, yes it's true that I have never seen Maddow or have never heard of Ed. We were taught to think for ourselves, but to also keep us on current affairs by reading a publication like the ones I listed above. These news and radio programs just reinforce peoples' already held beliefs and try to provoke, enrage, and entertain.

I must admit that I do find right wing radio more entertaining. They play rock and metal for the rejoin music and the personalities are over the top. I honestly don't know where to hear left wing talk on the radio, but the stuff I have heard was douchey and pretentious and not entertaining.

I think you need a little more balance. Those you say are leaning "to the right" IMHO are centrist at best, and the ones you say are "leaning Left" are more than leaning.

At least you make the effort to read multiple sources.

PBS will have your left wing talk radio.

Written publications are pretty good sources of information if you are reading them for news and reporting. Have you ever actually read all of the publications and papers I listed? What makes you think the the Wall Street Journal or Washington Times are centrist? What are you basing that on? They advertise the Washington Times on the right wing radio stations I listen to and the personalities claim to endorse it.

Publications like the magazines and newspapers mentioned are far removed from any of the entertainment, editorial news sources on T.V. or radio. My constitutionalist, tea party supporting professor, for example, read the NY Times (left leaning) along with The Economist. News reported in outlets like these are fact checked. T.V. and radio media can pretty much spout out whatever opinions the want. Frequently, they just read articles from publications like the ones I mentioned and editorialize. They don't give you real news.

None of the sources I mentioned are anywhere near as biased as MSNBC, Fox News, or any of the online conservative or liberal sites.
