Welcome back brother! My Mom has had crazy mental health problems combined with pills and booze. Went full retard a few times... The last year for me was pretty fucked too. Man, the family mental health deal is an ass kicker. My mom chooses prescription drugs to get her into complete meltdown. This latest one was brought on by an injectable pain blocker.

There were some great stories at the height of it about how the Trekkies had caught us and we were all already dead we just didn't know it. I'll say this for mom, when she goes she's at least creative with it. , but creative.

watt - You seen "Rush" yet? High budget action pronz. Wife's only complaint was all the dude/chick scenes were almost exactly the same. Like, all the same action, same positions, everything. It was like they had a checklist and wanted to be sure to cover each box with each scene. There's a TERRIFIC all girl pool scene though.

The healthiest mentally AND physically I've ever seen my mom was right after dad left her. She had to work to keep herself going and didn't have the time or money to constantly need medical attention. Nobody, not me, her brother, or her parents, could convince her she was healthier when she finally got remarried. Right back to the constant doctoring. And now we've landed back in the psych ward a few times because of it.

Is it already gone? I barely pay attention to movies these days unless it's something on my "must see" list. That didn't rank as it came across as a vehicle for a career push more than a movie.

I was reading that After Earth had bunch of Scientology overtones.

I love Sci Fi stuff though so I'll see it anyways. Even if I have to deal with not one, but two Smiths.

That's the part that killed it for me. Will SO wants his kid to be a movie star. I've heard some very not nice things about this movie. As much as I love scifi, the previews just queased me up when I saw them.
