Fantasy football makes me pull my hair out at times lol, not enough time for that shit (all stats, etc) and then i go crazy when guys get tackled on the 2 yard line that i have in a pool, shit makes me NUTZZZ
On a side note..
Anyone interested in a 'lock of the week' (maybe pick 1 game with spread) type thing for the 17 week season? You have to get your pick in before saturday? for shits and giggles, or maybe a pedal or something for the winner or just for the hell of it/bragging rights?

So, Kelvin Benjamin is out, yeesh. Poor kid. And now the Panthers are sort of SOL since he was pretty much the only legit receiver on the team. Olson is decent recieving TE, but their other WRs are pretty much all #3s at best no? Sucks for Benjamin though, kid is a great talent.
You think that is bad...........try being a Jet fan, especially going into this year when there was actually some hope with a new coach and a GM that is actually a personnel guy and not a bean counter. Same old Jets.......first it's Richardson then Geno yet again. What's next? At least the Geno issue may be a blessing in disguise as Fitzpatrick knows Gailey's offense. Act II is forthcoming.
Having Ryan Fitzpatrick as your starting QB is never a blessing in disguise. Not that Geno's any better.
You're a Jet's fan? You are a glutton for punishment. Mojo sent.

Yep.......long suffering Jets fan.
Fitzpatrick may not be answer but at the very least I expect him not to be a turnover machine. I think he will play smart and be a game manager in this offense. That's all he needs to do. Defense will hold its own and there are good enough skill players on offense to provide options.
Yes.......I'm another Jets fan starting yet another season with hope!

How does it feel to have hope slowly beat of you on a yearly basis? You all are a resilient lot.

I just assume the Bears are going to suck this year. I think the beginning of the season will be pretty brutal, but I hope to see significant improvement as it goes along. 8-8 will make me happy, 7-9 or 6-10 would be ok if the losses aren't embarrassing like last year.
There's just not enough talent on the roster right now, especially on defense for them to really be decent. And with White out and Jeffery hurt to start the year...we'll see how the offense does.
But I think Fox, Gase & Fangio will do their best with what they have and the Bears should end the year as a team that nobody wants to face, even though they aren't going anywhere this year.
We'll see.

To catch up -
Draft order for me 10/10......
Gotta make the most of those first two picks in a row.
I'm in Philly - ever the optimist compare to the rest of this town, but I think the Eagles may have a good year. Dallas on the other hand, looks like they are in for a long season.

Philly is gonna be interesting. I have no idea if they're going to be good, suck, or more likely, some wild variation in between.
Should be fun to watch, especially for an observer that doesn't care about the outcome.

The Bears have been through some tough seasons but they are always competitive at home. They need Cutler to be steady and commit to ground and pound.
I'm not a huge preseason guy but I was impressed with Fitzpatrick last night and even more impressed with Petty. I know Petty was not facing the first team players but he looked solid. I think if we can play mistake free football and be fundamentally sound we might be okay.

Holy crap, Jordy Nelson partially tears his ACL. Maurice Pouncy breaks his ankle. Yeesh.
This preseason is being brutal.

Read a headline today "Manuel to start 3rd preseason game: 'He earned it.'"
If you're Rex Ryan, at what point do you look at your QB situation of Manuel, Cassel, and Taylor and think "How could I coax Kyle Orton out of retirement?"
When getting Kyle Orton back would markedly IMPROVE your QB situation....god help you.

And Cobb hurt his shoulder. I think you could hear the gasps of a million gamblers when he went down.
Fortunately Cobb's injury isn't serious it doesn't look like.
Tomorrow night guys....you all ready! Auto-drafts on to pick up every kicker?

Posting a reminder that the draft is tomorrow September 1st at 7 p.m. CST/8 p.m. EST.If for some reason you aren't gonna be joining the live draft, you can set your draft strategy to draft how you would like. You can pre-rank players so those guys you're aiming for will be picked earlier and by selecting which round you pick which position i.e. Running backs in the first 3 rounds or just best player available, Round 4 QB, etc.
Defaults are: ESPN rankings and best player available, respectively.
To do so: Select the 'My Team' tab then underneath your Team Name/League Name/Your Name you'll see 'Edit Pre-Draft Player Rankings' and 'Edit Autopick Strategy'. Make sure you save each one before leaving that page if you're taking that route.
The Anomaly wrote:I have done absolutely zero prep-work, lol.
Luckily I had my other leagues draft yesterday:thu:. I have to do research for that league since it's so competitive

It's nice to get an opinion from someone outside of Philly, and I agree with you. This team looks better than I thought they were going to be.

The problem is Bradford is made out of popsicle sticks & string. And your RB1 & RB2 don't exactly have a long history of health.
And who are your WRs again?
I'm really intrigued to see what Philly turns out to be this year. I think the ceiling is high but I think it could get really ugly really fast.
It appears that Bears coaches & front office are in full rebuild mode, which is fine by me since its about 4 or 5 years overdue.

Tonight I draft everyone good. So, please don't draft good players.

Bradford has injury concerns, but then again Chip is an innovator with conditioning programs. Performance wise, Bradford looks like a top top player right now.
Banging on the RBs is insane. Murray, Matthews and Sproles are the #1 RB corps in the NFL. Criticism here is ridiculous.
The WRs are inexperienced but promising. Jordan Matthews was a top 20 WR as a rookie and has all the indicators to believe he will ascend even higher. I'm guessing work ethic is an asset here since he is Jerry Rice's cousin. Nelson A is about as polished a rookies as I've seen in Phila, much better than Jordan was at the same stage last year.
This is an explosive offense that you will want a piece of on Fantasy Draft Day.

Oh, I'm not knocking the talent, the talent is real. But with Murray & Matthews injury histories and the abuse Murray took last year as the Cowboys ran him 800000 times......it'll be interesting to see how how it goes.
Watching all of Chip's moves this offseason was just crazy. He's going to come out looking like a genius or a dunce. I really don't think there's any in between. They should be entertaining to watch this year.

Also, in regards to the receivers, with this offense, there is always SOMEONE open. It seems that the main goal is to exploit mismatches, and everything falls into place after that.
So, I'm not sure the offense needs a Dez Bryant for example, because guys like Riley Cooper can get open (once in a while

) in this offense.

You all will be entertaining!

Oh, and remember, everyone draft shitty players and let me have the pick of the good ones.

They've had google fiber for a couple years now. It is as awesome as it sounds.
But I live in the sticks south of KC...so, no google fiber lines directly to my house

2015 GABF Draft Grades.jpg
For your viewing pleasure, the ESPN default grades for our draft.
Obviously take it with a grain of salt since I got an F

and our Autodrafter got an A+

So...the autodraft got an A+. Seems properly biased for ESPN.
I'll take a B. I'm looking at my roster and I really have no clue what to do with it. My RB1 & 2 are no brainers, as is Dez Bryant and my 1 QB. But...otherwise....... idk
Edit:
Also...looking at Chad's team, if that's an A+....I'll happily take a B. He has some great players....and some...ummm.....yeah... I mean a quarter of his roster is suspended or out for week 1.
