That comment is what was the nail in the coffin for me leaving HC. I know he pops up on here now and then, for whatever reason. He can come on here and try to act like he's our friend but he came off like a pompous asshole and I have no desire of ever going back to HC. That place is dead to me.
I'm pretty sure that's not really him.

Oh good. As far as I'm concerned that guy is a douchnozzle cockmaster.
How certain are we that Anderton didn't want an exodus?
HCAF has been a pretty rock solid community for years. Possibly one the top dogs didn't like.
What if they've successfully deployed the GOP tactic of self exodus for immigrants whereby they make the conditions for immigrants so shitty that immigrants wouldn't want to stay there anymore anyway?
Agree the censor part is the hands down worst aspect of the new forum honestly.
Regardless I think you guys are generally taking this waaaaayyy too seriously. Its just an internet forum, I don't understand all the vitriol and continued talk about it.

They took a place we all hung out at and enjoyed and completely trashed it. Then that tard Anderton basically tells everyone to just shut up and like it because people only come there for his killer pro reviews. Am I mad? No, it's just a forum. I just think it's run by complete asshats who are completely out of touch.

It's like talking about an old girlfriend. It's part of your past, but never forgotten.
Shockwave wrote:I gave it as long as i could..The place is officially dead..I was hoping they would have pulled a HC2.0 thing and revert back to the old forums no matter what condition they are in. I held back registering here as this is most likely just a transition place to whatever the future forum is.
What if this place really takes off and gets thousands of members? Who is in charge? What does he know and does he have the resources to keep this place going? Is is run on a laptop in his basement with a comcast connection?
Setting up a forum is the easy part, any of could do it here and a few have over the years. It gets harry though when you start getting a lot of members and a history to the forum.
I see you missed out on the migration we already had from the "temporary-transition" place...That's already happened. This place had 550k views in 12 days. 500 members, 16k posts...In 12 days. It outgrew the forumatic server it was on. Which is a good time to bring up your concern about who's in charge and what he knows. Billy runs this place. And he is doing a damn good job at it. If it grows, he already bought a dedicated server plan...So this place is setup for the future. Resources for the technical side? He needs none. He asked for help to transition from forumatic to the new site, and several people volunteered and it was handled in the span of a few hours. Tweaks and fixes happen in the span of a couple of hours too.
All this to say, you're concern is legitimate, but it's already been thought through and pieces are in place to handle future growth and modifications...

That's exactly my point. Really feels like that guy who always talks about his exgirlfriend and about how awful she is and how he's moved on when he's clearly still hung up.
We've got a new sexy lady here gents, lets not run her by dwelling on the past...
