SOTD and other Christmas Soap

I tried the bay rum a few days ago. It’s excellent. Lathers nicely, feels good on the face, shaves well. Traverse City is about 6 hours north of me so it’s nice to support local.
This other one, the Wicked Rooster Farm, is fun. It lathers well and the clementine smell is actually really, really nice. For any of you guys who work on cars, this stuff smells a lot like the Orange cleaning hand gel that’s in most auto shops and has the exfoliating shit in the soap to help scrub your hands down and degrease them better. My dad always had this stuff in his garage and we used it after doing any kind of car work. Cleaned well and smelled like oranges. This stuff reminds me of that without the exfoliating stuff.
Both of these were found by my wife on Etsy and she grabbed them for me. I’m a fan.

Right? That was my first high end Grizzly, still my favorite.
Not posting shaves anymore?

I post them on Instagram every day, but not here. I felt like a chud bumping this thread every day. Plus, it’s hard to keep up with it. I was getting tired of the Imgur app. And I had lost my password.

Broke out the Merker Heavy Duty with a Wilkenson Sword blade... it works but, not a fan.
Captain's Choice Island time is pure, Pina Colada... it's OK, kind of meh.
9/10

Really liking this Phoenix and beau soap. It’s tiny though. Fits perfectly in this vintage seaforth mug.
This game changer 84 head rules on this custom tibam handle. Awesome. Great shave.

Where'd you get that cool, bitchin Seaforth mug???? Gotta get one to hold guitar picks.

That Tibam Mad Max handle has got to be the coolest, bitchenest handle ever created!!!

Got the seaforth mug on eBay.
This is actually a custom “antique” handle. No color. 80mm x 14mm. Titanium. Beautiful with a gc84 head.

1. Get your fuckin pre-orders in ASAP for a Blackland Era. $75. I got a level 5 safety bar and a stand.
2. I'm starting to like the idea of putting a soap in a mug/bowl, and having to live with it for days on end. Being committed. It makes my mornings 1% easier knowing I have no choice in what I use, soap wise. Same with the Barbedeaux. I don't need any other aftershaves. I wish I didn't have so many aftershaves.
3. I'm falling in love with Charcoal Goods razors. They can either shave perfectly, or entertainingly quirky. Always good though. This Gen 3 Level 3 plate is the fuckin shiznit. Amazing. Huge gap. Barely positive exposures. side edges are normal, but very guarded. None of that shar corner shit. none of that abbreviated shit that causes my razors to tip over either. Just rock and roll. BTW, my Blackbird shaved harsh today. I think shave #3 on this blue platinum was 1 too many.

Used some Abbate Y La Mantia today, as well!!!
The Gillette Black Beauty is OK... been using it for three days with a Schick blade... got about 4 or 5 paper cuts each time.
The Stirling Glastonbury arrived yesterday... the g/f says it smells like an antiseptic dentist office.
It's supposed to smell like, Patchouli, Lavender, Oakmoss, Lichen, Frankincense, and Vetiver!!!
8.5/10

Badass shave.
This goal platinum blade rocks. I usually hate trying new blades but this was a pleasant surprise.
Pdp rules. Barbedeaux rules. My anniversary razor with my custom brass tibam handle rules.
Opuntia is a special scent to me. It was what I took on my work trip to concord CA right before Covid. I feel like time stopped with this fragrance. That was a fun trip. It changed my career and gave me a path.
10/10 shave.

Big Catie's Bubbles fan. The Barnegat Bay is 50/50 Bay Rum with an outdoor scent... pine and fern, maybe?
Fufluns rocks, as do all Abbate Y La Mantia soaps.
The Lupo is definitely my all time favorite, desert island razor.
Sputnik blades are Russia's greatest achievement.
10/10

...and then some!
Really glad you turned me on to Tibam!!! Love the Mad Max!!!
Russia has one of the world's only titanium mines so, they can produce cool, light weight, razor handles inexpensively.
During the Cold War, Russia wouldn't sell titanium to the USA. The only way to get titanium for the SR71 Blackbird was to create several, overseas shell companies.

Gone more than I'm home lately; not as much chance to use my stuff as I'd like so I went #1s the whole way.
SV is always just great, old faithful GB is still the best and c'mon. Blackbird OC rules.
10/10...no nicks or cuts, face feels like glass.

Trying to turn back the clock. I have parenthood fatigue.
Apparently, my wife was thinking the same thing. She bought me this Fresh Cannabis Santal cologne when we first started dating in 2009. I went through 2 bottles of it before I started wearing other shit. Fast forward to Valentine's day 2 days ago, she bought me a new bottle. It instantly took us both back to my old house when we first started dating. It was nice to see she probably feels the same way I do right now. This stuff still smells amazing. Luckily they haven't reformulated or anything. Good shit. These blades are from Argentina 1991. Super. This is OG P160 as well.

Really like Vacanza Romana AS.
