Where do you get your Gem blades from? I used my last Gem to scrape the old inspection sticker out of my car.

This is the only blade I recommend. (I usually get these on ebay or Connaught, but it's OOS at both places. Here are other places)

$25/100 blades . shipped.
https://www.amazon.com/Extra-Sharp-Coat ... 742&sr=8-1

$25/100 blades. Gotta buy other stuff or pay shipping. Definitely legit retailer though.
https://bullgooseshaving.com/products/p ... ack-of-100

$40/200 blades. Confusing website. make sure you get item# 121-3 (COATED!) Legit retailer though. This is the USA Personna distributor.
https://www.tedpella.com/dissect_html/blades.htm

I ordered the GEMs from BullGoose... to get free shipping, I "HAD" to add on a Feather Adjustable DE and a bottle of Myrsol Don Miguel 1919 aftershave.
Man, adding on extra stuff was painful!!! :D

It will be my first Feather DE and first Myrsol product!!! Yeah!!!!

DE SHOOTOUT!!!!!!!!!! :shoot:
Used both the RazoRock SLOC and the Ascension this morning, with a new Sputnik in each.
As I mentioned in earlier posts, the Ascension is a tiny bit more aggressive than the SLOC.
The SLOC is $22 so, if you're looking to save money, you can't go wrong.
The Ascension is fairly priced at about $58.
They are incredibly similar in feel so, I really couldn't recommend one over the other. - I call it a tie! :thu:
Krokos soap is fantastic - great lather, great scent... it's about twice the price of other soaps but, worth every penny.

Awww yeah!!! I’m glad you like the krokos.

Awesome awesome shave.
Love this grizzly bay with the synthetic angel knot.

Used my new aquatic edt I made. Smells like oud, ambroxin, cedar, amber, musk, seaweed, dry grass, bergamot

Laureato soap freakin rules. Awesome. It actually smells slightly better than the aftershave.

So, this “winning” head from wet shaving club (made by Yates) is a triumph in value, but I have a number of issues with it.
1. Just like the murrica, the finish causes it to not glide at all. It just pulls against my face. That said, this loooks like it could be polished very easily. Fwiw, I actually like the geometry of this one as opposed to the murrica
2. Just like the murrica, it uses a stupid thread. Oh well, it’s close enough to use 3rd party handles.
3. The stock handle weighs like 50 lbs. I hate it. The handle in the pic is my tibam wildcat. Gorgeous.

That said, it’s intriguing and I got a few shave.

10/10 today.

^Diamond is good stuff.

Great shave today. The Yates/WSC Winning razor was better today. Maybe it gets slicker with use.

The Seaforth products are just amazing. Great lather. Great performance. Great scent.

Considering the morning left me flustered to the max, this shave was perfect.

Damn, I'm like 3 behind.

Nice and obnoxious scent. Totally unsuitable for summer. Worked great.
10/10. BTW, my knot popped out of this brush. WTF. Need to fix it.

Image
Beautiful soap. Great lather, scent, and performance. Miyake perfumes absolutely rule.
10/10

Ultra obnoxious scent, but not totally unsuitable. Kind of smells like Texas in the heat. I love this ridiculous brush. Rocked the Mamba 70 today. Loved it.

Been using Krokos ever since it arrived. It's really fantastic shit!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :rawk:

I'm starting to like the Ascension better than the SLOC. :cop:

Mysol Don Miguel has an excellent feel... like liquified gel... not sure I'll get used to the scent.
Now, I want to try other Mysol aftershaves.

Haven't had a chance to try the Feather Adjustable. It only has two positions, 1 & 2... agro and not agro... should be interesting.

SOUTHERN WITCHCRAFTS - SPECIAL EDITION AFTERSHAVE SPLASH - GOTHORUM TONSTRINA, arrived. It's good shit too.

I have every myrsol:

The best:
Blue - smells sort of like aqua velva
Don Carlos - smells like pinaud citrus musk
Formula k - pure fake peppermint. Awesome
Formula c - smells like watermelon jolly rancher

Good:
F/extra - smells like good Floyd amber
Metilsol - literally smells like listerine
Lemon - like the car wash. Fades fast.
Don Miguel- jasmine heavy. Truly an early spring scent. Too late in the year right bow.

Ok:
Plastic - smells like silicone toys
Aqua balsamico - smells like pure thyme.
Emulsion- smells like solarcain. Good balm if you like balm.

Not good:
Antisol - smells like medicinal rotten Floid amber
Electric shave - smells like naphtha , lighter fluid, and motor oil. Technically a pre shave.

Fwiw, razor emporium is the best place to get myrsol, and they regularly run sales.

Missed a day:
Image
Switched the mamba 70 out with the og 53. Hated the 53. Dang it’s mild. Leads to overshaving and a massive 5oc shadow all day. Oh well. Maybe my 5 year old can use it.

Torch wood rules.

9/10

Awesome shave. I smell great.

Sabre rocks. Best razor ever for mustache and chin area.

Ah, that was nice. Think I've shaved using our type of stuff maybe twice in the last 2 months or so. That baby electric was getting on my nerves, and I had a few days at home.

Diamond rules, Sabre awesome, Prada is my favorite scent ever.

Tried the new, Feather "Adjustable". It's only got two settings so, not what we would categorize as adjustable... use setting #1 today.
It was borderline Meh to OK... mild, nothing special.

Tried the sample of Jack Black Supreme Cream that came with my tub of Krokos.... not bad at all... made an excellent, thick and protective lather in my Ikea mortar bowl. Smelled like lemon Noxima. It's a Wilkinson Sword product.

Finished up with Phoenix Atomic Bay Rum.
8.5/10 because, setting #1 on the Feather handle was disappointing. I'll try #2 on Sunday.

That jack black cream sounds really interesting. Cool.

Fantastic shave. This was kind of an ode to my dad. He had a health scare last night. Bummed me out. He bought me this brut aftershave. He also gave me a chisel when I was little that looked like this brush. The Tatara kind of looks like a golf ball. Reminds me of him.

Inferno is the shit. ADP Leather is the shit.
The Winning Razor is pissing me off. I don't like it.
9/10
Image
This Extro Absinthe soap rules. Amazing. Barbedeaux is amazing. ADP OUD is amazing.
This blade was a freakin dud. A burry mess. Worst shave in a while. Face hurt. had to use alum. Made me hate my Charcoal Goods.
7/10

The Extro Absinthe was extra special though. IF you work it and go at it with reckless abandon you will be rewarded with the most awesome. thick foam.

The Feather handle, set to 2 is much better... however, not better enough to recommend.

Just ordered: Myrsol Formula K, Booster Aquarius, Goodfellas Shibusa 2 :rawk:
Going to have to put together a PIF box to make room!!!
