Might have to go to the Dark Side.
Might need an electric shaver; this is gonna be an every morning thing and I might not have access to water.
Prejudices notwithstanding, you guys have any references for an electric razor that’s gonna be close to our shit?

Saturday morning SOTD...
Edwin Jagger Classic sitting on a Charcoal Goods handle - nice!
Rushmore soap - nice!
Stupefecente - nice!
ZaZa blades - not so nice. I switched to a Wilkinson Sword blade mid shave.

Yeah dude, those Zaza blades are no bueno. Look like they came from a Zoltar machine.

Interesting shave.
Gem micromatic clog proof was badass. Great razor.
K shave worx turkey soap: great lather. Burned my face. Can’t use again. Bummer.
Royall muske. Smells like Paul Sebastian. Kind of hate it. Lol.
8/10.

Interesting shave.
1. The Gem G bar is too gentle. Bummer since it looks freakin awesome.
2. Gem blades are 3 and done for me. I don't care if other people can use them 500 times. My hair is thick.
3. Extro is awesome. It seems some people can't make it work, but it's awesome with my water.
4. Barbedeaux burned like fire today. I think I overshaved with the G bar since it was so damned mild.
5. ADP Ambre smells amazing.
Whole morning felt frantic and shitty. I feel extremely anxious. Still a good shave.

The one that started it all. My Grandpa's Knack. I even recreated the first shave with it by using a Personna Lab Blue. (First DE shave ever was with a Drugstore USA Personna).
It shaved mildly, but fine.
Extro is really lathering well for me, and shaving even better. Great soap.
Great shave! 10/10

I did a Cremo blue, B&M bay rum balm travel shave. My SLOC is my travel razor, and I use an assortment of loose blades. Well, they’re in a case, because I don’t want to slice my fingers open anymore. Good shave - it wasn’t a dime, but it feels refreshing.

Oh, and Diamond is back. I bought the bundle - soap and balm.

Lady Gillette. Razor was ok. Personna Lab Blue sucked on shave 2. Fuck that shit.
Extro Miele = freakin awesome.
Barbedeaux = awesome
ADP Ebano = honey note goes PERFECTLY with Extro Miele.
Overall a great shave, but the Lab blue was a huge disappointment on shave 2. I'm back to LOVING Extro soap.

So I don’t know wtf is in the water down here but damn.
Got a big test today, was getting ready last night, laying out clothes, studying, setting up for this mornings shave.
Been going back and forth between Vector and Blackbird, decided it was time to change the blade in the BB.
Opened it up and the corners of the blade were rusty as all hell and one corner was cracked, like split in two. Never seen that before, shit was crazy.

Stein,
I used to think people were full of shit when they would take the blade out and clean the razor every time they used it. Not anymore. I had rust show up inside my Tradere. I scrubbed it and oiled it. Now I clean my razor a bit with a towel every day.

Interesting one today.
Gillette Red tip superspeed. Good razor. Feels modern because of its heft and aggressiveness.
Vintage Sputnik. One of the best blades I've ever used. Made in Leningrad. PPG before communism fell.
Extro Donkey milk violet shaving cream. I prefer Extro soap to the cream. Had to use a bowl. Very whipped and airy. This is not a good value. Made a good lather though. Shaved well. Not the best violet scent. Smells very cheap.
Extro Violet aftershave. Smells weird and cheap. Strange resin-ey solvent smell. not good.
Razorock boar brush. Good brush. didn't feel soft today though.
all in all, this shave went really well for what could have been a completely disastrous combo. This blade is the shiznit!

YES. So, I've been apprehensive to try a Henson razor because of their cringey ad copy about blade chatter. I was able to track down an aluminum medium at the old price with a 15% coupon. $42. Had to do it. I LOVE it. Wow. It shaves kind of like the best of all worlds. I'm incredibly glad I didn't get the mild version. Medium is where it's at.
The Sputnik commie vintage kicks all kinds of ass. Smooth as silk. sharp.
Tabac soap is REALLY nice.
Tabac Craftsman is awesome too.
Perfect shave. 10/10

Henson was great.
Sputnik dead dead at 3 shaves.
This brush has the perfect loft. Makes really great lather.
Magnolia extro soap was lather explosion. Great performance
Magnolia extro aftershave kind of burns. Bummed.
Adp leather = perfection. Powerful Ana’s amazing.

Awesome shave. Cleaned up my oxide blackbird. Vintage Sputnik. I need more of these.
Discontinued Valobra menthol. I need more of this.
New tdr brush. I need this knot to break in. It’s eating lather.
Barbedeaux was great.
Adp leather. Had to repeat it. It’s special. I had dreams about it. I few cool wearing it.
10/10. Perfect.

I couldn't get into regular Tabac so, I gave it to a buddy who likes Old Spice.... he didn't like the Tabac either.
May have to try the Craftsman version...

Essentially repeated yesterday's shave. It was even better. I guess I'm testing whether my face can tolerate the open comb blackbird on a daily basis.
Valobra Menthol rocks. A Boar brush worked MUCH better with it than the HMW Milton Fan.

Man, the last few days have bankrupted my chi. I'm dealing with a megadick at work, and the kids just won't behave right now. At least this shave was decent.
I think I accidentally used this blade 4 times. I noticed today since I had a weeper on my cheek. Felt like I got stung by a bee when it happened. Oh well. still a good shave.
Saponificio Bignoli Ancient Recipe is good shit. Smells like Neroli, Almond, Vetiver, and Black Pepper. It morphs during use. Good stuff. Hard to find though.
Barbedeaux = awesome.
Bobby Moffett Brush with Milton Shoat knot. Perfect for anything Italian and Soft. They go together like chocolate and peanut butter.
ADP Mirra (Myrrh). Good, warm, sweet fragrance. It's supposed to snow 2-4" today. Great.

Been using that OC Blackbird daily since I’ve been here for the most part; didn’t think my face could tolerate it but it works if I’m careful.
That said, I’m trying to get more sleep and I’m almost out of soap, so electric showed yesterday. I’ll report back. Tested it on the back of my hand and was expecting some raep but it works fine, see how it does.

Great shave. So, after trying a mergress 14 years ago and selling it immediately, I decided to get an og progress. I like the look of the cream plastic knob. Plus, people rave about the performance.
1. Bought one from pasteurs with a 15% off code. Wrong razor shows up. Merkur 1904.
2. They were friendly and sent a progress on their dime and sent a return label on their dime.
3. Progress shows up with a casting flaw in the cap. It causes the blade to have a terrible wave/curve.
4. Pasteurs was friendly and sent a new one right away.
It shaved freakin awesome. I love it. Kudos to pasteurs pharmacy for making it right.
Moon soap is good. Everything good. This adp sandelo is badass.

First shave with the $25 electric.
Was it great? Nahhh
Did it work?
Sure did.
Cut my shave time down from around 15-20 mins to 4. Means almost an extra half hour of sleep.
Satisfaction rating 7/10

I'm glad your electric worked out

Day 2 with the Progress. I had it up to 3.5. It seemed to exaggerate the flaw of the blade being less sharp than yesterday. Hmm. We'll see. Maybe, use cheaper blades once? Maybe keep it at 3 or 2.5? We'll see.
Bignoli Violet. DANG. Awesome. This is really good soap. Nice strong scent too.
Barbedeaux. awesome. Bobby Moffett awesome.
ADP Fico Di Amalfi = awesome. Nice spring scent to try getting out of this snowy funk.
Great shave. 10/10. Hopefully, this isn't the best part of the day, but it's certainly shaping up that way.

Timeless stuff kind of sucks. Bummer.
Satinex wasn't so hot either.
